Dru's Classroom: the formation of a new club

After his meeting with Grissom, Angelus made his way to Dru's classroom. He smiled. She'd left it for him to open, just as she'd promised.

He opened the door, switched on the lights, searched Dru's supplies for some poster board, then got to work.

It was going to be a long day.

"Exactly," Angelus tapped his nose to indicate she'd gotten it right. "Which meant plenty of demons, monsters, more apocalypses than you could shake a stick at... you see how Fandom High isn't much different."

"That almost sounds like fun." Alanna replied with a smile. "You sure you didn't just move the town here? Any zombies? All we got were attacking armies from Tusaine every once in a while. And those were on the borders."

"Tell you true, I don't know that we didn't," Angelus admitted. "But things are wacky where I come from. We're no strangers to other dimensions and timelines. In fact not all the people here who say they're from the Hellmouth are from the same Hellmouth I am. It's made for some comical misunderstandings."

Alanna blinked. "I think I've been here long enough that that actually made sense. Thankfully, I'm the only one here from my world, as far as I know."


((I think there was a bet going on around here somewhere about how long it would take before Alanna's daughter showed up.))

"So what's your place like?"

Alanna chewed on her lip. "Think your Middle Ages, only cleaner and with Magic. And a lot of Gods."


((Ooc: I nearly got run over by a car thinking that. Was walking home and pondering FH plotlines, suddenly, hey what if Connor shows up. Oops, is that a car?))

"Are they as much of a pain in the ass on your world as they are on mine?" Angelus asked.

[ooc: If we had a good Connor? Awww yeah. Though possibly even better if somebody slapped a soul into psycho-lad first. On the other hand, much more pervy and creepy if they didn't.]

"The Gods? It depends. Myles always says that it's best for us when they don't meddle in our lives, but well, who knows. They're Gods after all." Alanna distractedly plays with the cord aroung her neck.

"Who's Myles?" Angelus asked, curiously.

Alanna chewed on her lip. "He's...the only non-Priest teacher we have. A really nice guy who's kinda like a father to well, me. And I think he sorta guessed that I'm a girl. Long story."

"Oh," Angelus cleared his throat. "Ah... was that not supposed to be obvious?"

Alanna smirked. "No, not so much. Like I said, your Middle Ages, women have no rights. I wanted to be a knite." She shrugs. "Hiding as a boy was the easy part."

"Hey, I grew up in the 18th century," Angelus said. "Hate to tell you for your half it didn't get any better. Actually a few'd probably debate that that's yet to change. Personally I've always felt it was stupid. Haven't met a man yet who can match the kind of wit and skill a good woman can bring to the party."

Alanna raised a brow. "Party? 'Squire Alan' is considered one of the best fencers at court. For all his great height and muscle."

"Turn of phrase," Angelus said, holding up his hands innocently. "Means - uh - the event. The group. What's going on. If I'm putting together a team to fight my enemies I want people who bring good skills to the party."

"Ah, well, that's a compliment then I guess? I never understood why men think women are weak. Some of the ladies at the palace put my fellow squire's to shame."

"You should meet the vamp who turned me," Angelus said. "Name's Darla. She'd put anybody to shame. Myself included."

Alanna raised a brow. "Turned you? You're not born a vampire? And she sounds like my kind of 'lady'."

"Oh no, I was born human," Angelus said. "Well, not exactly. Suffice it to say that you have to be turned into a vampire. Do the deed, crawl out of your own grave, bingo, bango, bongo there you are." He gave a friendly smirk. "Darla was something, but I don't know that anybody'd call her a lady."

Alanna raised a brow but didn't comment on the first part. "Well, I meet plenty of 'ladies' who are anything but, and they are usually far more interesting than the proper type."

"On that I would definitely agree," Angelus said. "Something about a girl who's not afraid to get her hands dirty."

Alanna grinned. "You sure you were born in the nineteenth century?"

"Eighteenth," he corrected. "It's like the nineteenth but with different wigs."

"Never much fancied the powdered kind," Angelus said. "Always preferred more of a natural look."
