Fandom Playschool Host Club, Sunday Afternoon

Reno had a Host Club! And his club had all sorts of neat stuff, like a lego table and a velcro dartboard and those nifty little cards that had pictures on them for matching games and stuff! And there was grape juice! And cookies! And a kind of scary lookin' pizza that he took from the common room last night that might have marshmallows and salami on it, but Reno wasn't sure.

Oh, oh, oh! And bestest of all? Reno's Host Club had boys who were there to entertain the girls or whatever, even if girls did have cooties. It was their duty as hosts to be all entertaining an' stuff, and that's why it had 'Host' in the name and not just 'play with our toys club' or something, and Host Club boys were tough and could totally handle a few cooties anyhow.

So it was really, really good that the clinic had free cootie shots today, maybe.

Oh! And Reno had made a sign with crayons and had hung it up and it was a good sign saying that the Host Club was open to everyone. If you squinted and looked at it sideways and used your 'magination.

And if they were real good, maybe Uncle Barney would tell them all a story, Reno hoped. Because Uncle Barney was awesome.

Yurika knew that if she wanted to find the boys for a game of tag, the best place to find them was at their clubhouse.

She peeked into the room cautiously, trying to spot them. Hopefully none of the other boys were going to try and chase her away, since she was a girl.

Reno waved hello!

Cooties weren't too bad, if Yurika was gonna fix his face. It was brokened last night.

"Red, hi Red!" she chirped, sliding the rest of the way into the room. Reno didn't have cooties, and he'd probably protect her from any boys that did.

Maybe. Unless it turned out that she had cooties, too. In which case, he'd probably hide under the Lego table and throw Lego blocks at her until she went away.

So she better not have cooties!

"Hiii! Is my face still brokened?"

Yurika studied him for a moment before nodding seriously. "Yup. Wrong." Pulling her purse off her shoulder, she began rummaging around inside. "Come here, I'll fix you and make it better."

Reno blinked, considered, and then inched closer.

"What's you got there?"

Yurika grinned evilly, and uncapped her lipstick.

"Fixing stuff."

Reno eyed the lipstick warily, taking a step back.

"That's girly stuff! I don't want girly stuff on my face!"

It had COOTIES.

"Hold still!" she snapped, reaching out to grab him by the shirt. "I can't fix you if you keep moving!"

Reno had to squirm now.

A lot.

"I don't want to be fixed! I don't wanna!" There was no escape. He was in the clutches of the evil girl. It was already too late.

He'd been cootied.

Yurika was her father's daughter in many ways, namely in her inability to take 'no' for an answer.

Which is why he quickly got two lipstick slashes to his face, approximately where an older Reno will have his tattoos.

Reno was now going to wave his arms around and sputter and be generally disturbed that there was girly stuff on his face.

"That's GROSS."

Romeo noticed the girl peeking in and burst into a broad grin.

Game of zombies forgotten, he went over to greet her. "Hi Yurika, wanna play Legos?"

"Whatsa leggo?" she asked, tilting her head at him. "Is it fun?"

Romeo's mouth gaped open in surprise. "Uh-huh! They're like blocks and they snap together and you can build things. Me and Reno were playing with them and my pirate ship beat his behemoth. C'mon and I'll show you."

Rikku had totally tagged along. Because Yurika was a Big Kid and knew where Fun Stuff Was. She hoped so, anyway.

"Hi!" she waved.

"Hi, Rikku!" Reno waved a little hello with his Lego behemoth that totally didn't look like a behemoth in the least. "Do you need a host?"

That was what the club was for, of course!

"No, I's a big girl," Rikku shared. "What'sa host?"

"I'm a host," Reno explained. "But bein' a host is a bigger boy 'sponsibliity. We're s'posed to play with big girls, and stuff like that."

He nodded. It was a solemn nod.

"So we's got to play?" she asked, bouncing on her toes. This host gig sounded sort of fun.

They did! So many options!

"And juice and pizza and stuff!"

Stuff was awesome.

"I wanna play!" Rikku bounced excitedly. "I wanna play legos and dartses and cards!"

Not that she knew what half of that was. Pfft, details.

Reno bounced too, because... well, sheesh, bouncing was fun and her happy was catchy.

Like cooties! But good cooties, and not the bad kind.

"Which one do you wanna play with more?" This was need-to-know-information, of course!

"I dunno," Rikku said. "Which ones involves frowin' stuff?"

That, she was good at.

"Darts!" Reno clapped his hands and then ran over to go and get the dart set.

It was the best dart set ever.

"Okay," Reno explained, handing Rikku a ball. "You gotts to throw it at the circle-thing, and then where it sticks, you get those many points, okay?"
