Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets.

Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Shh.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "Meet your little projects for the next week. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for a week, believe me, I'll know."

He reached for a list of paper. "Some of you I've paired together, some of you are single parents." His smile turned a little evil. "Some of your babies are a little fussier than others."

He was a petty, petty man.

Anakin arched an eyebrow. "You haven't dropped the baby already, have you?"

Andrew switched the baby from one arm to the other with surprising grace. "No, sir," he said. "I just thought I should, um, come talk to you about, um..."

He took a deep breath. "I've missed a few classes."

"Have you," Anakin replied evenly. "You've had more important things to do on Thursdays?"

"I w-was a bunny." It sounded lame, but it was the truth.

"And then I was in Paris. It was 1899."

He really wished he had better excuses.

"I'm sorry."

Anakin's lips quirked up. "You're much less annoying than the last person I knew who turned into a bunny."

"Yeah?" Andrew wasn't used to people telling him he wasn't annoying. Well, wasn't as annoying...

"Is there, ah... I mean, how can I make up for those?"

"Last week we talked about wrath, and the one before then was devoted to a discussion of love," Anakin said. "Are either emotions something you might be familiar with?"

"Umm... you could say that, yes." He nodded.

Andrew rather felt like he had plenty of experience with both those emotions at this point in his life.

"Can you guess why I might have put the two classes back to back?" Anakin asked.

Andrew took a moment to think, bouncing the droid baby lightly as he did.

"Well... If something happened to someone I loved, I imagine my emotions might first swing towards the wrathful side."

"Good," Anakin said, nodding. "In the context of last week's abductions, how could this lead to disaster?"

"Well, there were a lot of people how lost their love ones." Andrew thought about what he had been willing to do to get back home.

"And if everyone went all vigilante, then a lot of innocent people could get hurt."

Anakin smiled. "And given what you know about the students at Fandom, why do you think I teach the way I do?"
