Library, Thursday [ 03/13 ]

After neither a Bridge or a glowing ball of light appeared in the morning to open the library, it seemed the librarian might have to do actual work.

It was more than slightly concerning after the radio announcement the previous night.

Nevertheless, the library was open and being... well... the best word might be 'patrolled' by a slightly on edge librarian.

Adah had arrived a bit late for her researching; with the morning she'd had, she needed a small recharge through lunch and the earliest slices of the afternoon. It didn't seem to do her entirely much good; she found a few things to flip through and then nearly tumbled straight into them, throwing her weary self at them to be wholly consumed and to maybe come up with something.

At least this time, she knew there weren't tiny one celled organisms lurking where they couldn't be seen to enter her body, take advantage of her weakened bodily systems, and knock her out for a coma for two weeks.

Maybe it was her tiredness and the fact that she hadn't had any sleep in over a day. Maybe it was the ethnography that intrigued her and caused her head to tilt with a desire to distract herself with contradictions. Maybe it was Africa that caught her eye, catching on a heartstring and making her fixate with a strange bit of longing. Maybe it was the excessive details in which the article mentioned the crazy old man's ravings about statues.

But, really, Adah knew exactly what it was about the article that caught her eye. It wasn't the intriguing story telling of a film crew needing to practically shut down production of their movie in the West African desert due to a crazy man trying to destroy their statues.

It was the mere fact that the crazy man claiming the statues had stolen his life just so happened to insist that his name was Bob.

"Huh."
