Fandom High School Host Club - Sunday, February 10 - Music Room: Late Afternoon

On this particular afternoon, soft classical music could be heard throughout the Music room at Fandom High. Tamaki had brought with him a small stereo and had been sure to have plenty of waltzing music on hand. In addition to the music, he'd brought two stacks of handouts, which he stacked neatly next to the stereo.

Tamaki smiled at everyone as they filed in, then bowed low in greeting.

"My fellow students and brand new hosts," he said cheerily, "Welcome to the Fandom High School Host Club's second ever meeting!" He smiled and gestured to the first stack of handouts. "First of all, I would like each Host to take a look at these basic lessons in etiquette. You will all be expected to behave like gentlemen while you are in the club! Do not forget," he winked. "I would also like all of you to see me when you have a moment, for I shall be taking costume theme suggestions for upcoming meetings." He turned to the guests. "I shall also take costume theme requests from the ladies, if they have any ideas," he added, with a disarming smile, "For their input is the most precious of all. Our aim is to delight!"

"As I mentioned in my e-mail earlier this week, you will all be learning to waltz today. A gentleman is graceful and light on his feet, Hosts," he said smoothly, sweeping his arm through the air as he spoke and stopping it in front of the second stack of papers. These are your dance step diagrams. Study them carefully, then choose a dance partner and give the waltz a try! I will be watching, and please do ask me if you're unsure. Give it your best effort! On occasion, the Host Club will have parties, and parties require dancing!"

After a moment, he grinned and cocked his head to the side, raising a hand to his chin. "I would like to add that I am also available to dance, and honored to do so, should any of the lovely volunteers feel lonely or wish to test my skill and grace."

He raised his hands and clapped them sharply, beaming with glee as he did so. "Begin!"

Tamaki stood off to the side of the room, appraising the performances of his Hosts. He had a smile on his face, making sure that he looked utterly gorgeous and approachable.

Haku came up a long side of Tamaki and spoke softly. "Excuse me?"

Tamaki turned in the direction of the voice, finding what looked to him to be a petite young lady. Of course, this required him to react in the way that was only natural - immediately, his face washed over with one of his most charming looks, and he dropped to one knee, looking up at Haku with a smile. "What may I do for you, lovely lady?" he purred, winking.

There might have been a slight smirk and chuckle, but he hid that behind his hand. "I was curious to see what all this was, apart from a point of extreme nervousness for my roommate," he said gesturing to Teddy.

Tamaki remained on his knee, smiling up appreciatively at what he thought was a very nice yougn beauty. "This is the Host Club, dear princess," he explained. "We are learning to waltz today, but, starting next week, we will all be available for entertaining lovely people such as yourself."

Haku continued to smile. "Why thank you," he said sincerely. "However." Haku crouched down to the same level that Tamaki was at. "Can I tell you a secret?"

Tamaki smiled, pleased that he has achieved such a response. "You may tell me anything you wish."

Taking a deep breath. Haku braced himself for the reaction. "I'm not a girl."

Shock! Horror! What had he done?! Tamaki drew back, his face frozen in terror and completely scarlet with embarrassment.

After a while, Kabuto walked over to there Tamaki was being a snooty little rich kid standing. "So, I'm curious...what is this, exactly?"

"This is the Host Club," Tamaki said calmly, "A place where men with free time entertain young ladies with free time. We offer our company to those who desire it, as well as tea and refreshments."

"So you're a group of...courtesans?" Kabuto smirked, watching Tamaki.

"We are no such thing!"

Tamaki felt greatly indignant. "Hosts are for pure purposes only, not anything like that!"

"So, then, what are you? What purpose do you serve?" Kabuto pushed his glasses up, looking curious rather than intentionally antagonistic.

"We're here to entertain, not to... to..." he could barely splutter that out, let alone what he had in mind.

Kabuto flashed a disarming smile. "Entertainment, then." Really, he didn't know what Tamaki thought he meant. Nothing dirty, of course! Where was the boy's mind? "Will you be putting on events like this often?"

Tamaki managed to collect himself enough to smile back. "The Host Club will meet every Sunday," he said, his chest puffing up a little with pride. "Sometimes there will be events such as this, but mostly it will be interaction between the Hosts and their designations."

Jack approached that Tomato guy when he had a free moment such as, cowering in the corner in the fetal position.

"Hey, just wanted to talk about the Club and the finances and what all," he started off.

"Of course, Jack," Tamaki replied cheerily, "What is it you wanted to discuss?"

"I... just what finances does the club have? I'm meeting Turtle this Tuesday to discuss, and I'd like a better handle on what we're dealing with here," he said, looking around at the room and at the people having fun. Even Sokka.

"I have donated a cash float for the club to use for expenses to start with. There is a fee to designate each Host, so we shall be making our own money shortly. If we manage to get any photobooks out, we will also be gleaning profits off of the sales of those. As our finances man, you are responsible for coming up with new marketing ideas as well."

"Photobooks? Of us?" He looked around at the other Hosts. "People will buy those?"

He thought. Hard. "Well, we can't do a car wash because no one has a car. And... I'm not sure if we can do handyman things because...I mean, everyone here should be able to swing a hammer, but fix pipes? That takes skill," he said. Skill that some Host Club members may not have. Not that he was naming names, of course.

"People bought them at my old school," Tamaki said with confidence. He pretended not to have heard the stuff about pipe fixing.

Jack wasn't one to suggest bikini car wash, beacuse one, there were no cars to wash here, and two, guys generally didn't wear bikinis. Else? It would be a valid option.

"I do have a connection at the Photo Hut, if we need backdrops or equipment," he suggested.

"That's excellent," Tamaki beamed. "We shall have to hold a Host Club photoshoot, then!"
