On this particular afternoon, soft classical music could be heard throughout the Music room at Fandom High. Tamaki had brought with him a small stereo and had been sure to have plenty of waltzing music on hand. In addition to the music, he'd brought two stacks of handouts, which he stacked neatly next to the stereo.

Tamaki smiled at everyone as they filed in, then bowed low in greeting.

"My fellow students and brand new hosts," he said cheerily, "Welcome to the Fandom High School Host Club's second ever meeting!" He smiled and gestured to the first stack of handouts. "First of all, I would like each Host to take a look at these basic lessons in etiquette. You will all be expected to behave like gentlemen while you are in the club! Do not forget," he winked. "I would also like all of you to see me when you have a moment, for I shall be taking costume theme suggestions for upcoming meetings." He turned to the guests. "I shall also take costume theme requests from the ladies, if they have any ideas," he added, with a disarming smile, "For their input is the most precious of all. Our aim is to delight!"

"As I mentioned in my e-mail earlier this week, you will all be learning to waltz today. A gentleman is graceful and light on his feet, Hosts," he said smoothly, sweeping his arm through the air as he spoke and stopping it in front of the second stack of papers. These are your dance step diagrams. Study them carefully, then choose a dance partner and give the waltz a try! I will be watching, and please do ask me if you're unsure. Give it your best effort! On occasion, the Host Club will have parties, and parties require dancing!"

After a moment, he grinned and cocked his head to the side, raising a hand to his chin. "I would like to add that I am also available to dance, and honored to do so, should any of the lovely volunteers feel lonely or wish to test my skill and grace."

He raised his hands and clapped them sharply, beaming with glee as he did so. "Begin!"

Tamaki managed to collect himself enough to smile back. "The Host Club will meet every Sunday," he said, his chest puffing up a little with pride. "Sometimes there will be events such as this, but mostly it will be interaction between the Hosts and their designations."

"Which ones," Kabuto gestured vaguely to the people around, "are the hosts?"

Tamaki pointed as he referred to each one. "Liir, Teddy, Sokka, Jack, Reno and," pointing at himself with a smile, "Of course, myself."

"Quite a...variety." Kabuto stifled a snicker. "Unsurprising, given this school. Is the club entirely made up for males to entertain females, or have you been affected by Fandom's glitter policy yet?"

He had absolutely no idea what the 'glitter policy' was, but he tried not to let that show. "It's supposed to be males entertaining females, but I've got a Host that is interested in men and someone has asked me about males designating males, so perhaps the Host Club will be expanding its horizons."

"I'm not terribly surprised." Kabuto smiled. "My name is Yakushi Kabuto. It's nice to meet you."

"Tamaki Suou," Tamaki replied cheerfully. He was always happy to meet new people, and this Kabuto seemed pleasant enough. "A pleasure."

"//Tamaki Suou, or Suou Tamaki?//" Kabuto asked in Japanese, still smiling.

"//Suou Tamaki,//" he grinned, delighted he didn't have to anglify his name presentation for once. "//What a pleasant surprise!//"

"//Is it a surprise?//" Kabuto asked innocently. "//I would imagine my own name gave me away.//"

Caught off guard by that statement, Tamaki could only flush and laugh.

"//It should have,//" he said slowly, wondering if he'd been away from Japan for too long.

Kabuto bowed politely. "//Yakushi Kabuto of the Hidden Village of Sound. Undoubtedly from a different world than the one you are, but it appears we speak the same language. What made you decide to start this...Host Club?//"

"//I had one back at my old school,//" was the simple reply. Come to think of it, he really missed his friends at Ouran Academy.

"Hmm." It really wasn't much of an reason, in Kabuto's opinion. "//Are you still looking for people?//"

"//Absolutely! There is still time for interested parties to become hosts. Are you interested?//"

"..." Kabuto hesitated, then shrugged. "//I can't see why you would want me, but I can always see if I can recommend anyone.//"

Tamaki smiled, noticing something in Kabuto that seemed somewhat... familiar. "//If you're willing to try, we'd be glad to have you. Recommendations are fine, but you're here right now!//"

"//I am here, yes.//" Kabuto smiled sweetly. "//What does that have to do with anything?//"

"//You asked me if I was still looking for people, which stands to reason that you are interested in joining. And, you are here, so perhaps you are joining!//"

Tamaki logic was fabulous, really.

"//As long as it does not interefere with my research.//" The ninja shrugged. "//I will tell you right now that my work comes before any sort of social obligation.//"

"//Do you work on Sunday afternoons?//"

"//I work all the time. I'm a medical ninja.//" Kabuto pushed his glasses up, the lenses catching the light. "//My research is the reason why I'm here.//"

Tamaki couldn't think of any response to that. He'd never heard of 'medical ninja' before, and all he could do was stare blankly.

"//I'm a ninja, and also a healer. We're not terribly uncommon, Suou-san.//" Kabuto chuckled. "//I have also, however, been advised that I ought to be more social.//"

That made more sense. Upon hearing the added sentence, he couldn't help but smile. "//If it's socializing you want, then being a Host is perfect for you!//"
