Driver's Ed [Wednesday, Period Four]

This week the Dangershop was set up with a comprehensive obstacle course, however rather than last week's Bentley, there was a boxy looking, lime green car at the start of the course. After all, even in simulations, Bond wasn't going to let anyone near a car like that without knowing they could handle it.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond began, leaning against the car door. "Today follows on somewhat from last week's class, allowing me to see your level of driving ability as you take the car around the course. Now, the thing to remember is that today I merely want to see how well you handle the car, it's not a race, you're not going to get points for flashiness, or have them taken away for crashing. Unless of course, you crash while attempting something smart. Please don't try that."

After demonstrating the proper way to take the course, Bond moved over to the passenger seat of the car.

"Now, who's first?"

[ooc: wait for OCD is up!]

Wow, that was one old, ugly coloured car. Shawn stared at it a moment, and tried not to imagine just how lumpy the ride would be in a thing like that.

Peter stared. He was pretty sure he could see the car with his eyes closed.

Sam wasn't as concerned about the color of the car as he was the size. It seemed a little small.

Dawn, on the other hand, was kind of in love with the car. "It's so awesome!"

Sam looked back and forth between Dawn and the car a few times.

"Did you go color blind?"

She paused while Sam reconsidered what he knew about his girlfriend of more than a year, then said, "No, it's so bright and cheerful! Plus, you can always find it in the parking lot!"

"Oh, it's definitely got bright on its side," Sam said. "I think Dean would be horrified to know that I was even in the same room as this car."

"You could not tell him," was her whispered suggestion.

"I think I like that idea a lot," Sam replied.

"Do you think I could find one somewhere? For me, I mean? Maybe Dean would help me fix it up, if it's a clunker, then I could paint it whatever color I wanted."

In the back of her mind was the thought that she might want a way to get from college to, oh, say, Virginia over the next four years.

Lee much preferred the car from the previous week. A lot.

Oh, man. That looked like the kind of car Turtle's dad would drive home one day just to see what kind of reaction Grace would get. And it wouldn't be a good one, at all. But it would be hilarious.

Summer was definitely boggling. She liked the car from last week better.

Marco really, really wanted his BMV back. And the Jaguar.

Turtle really couldn't help smirking at that look on Marco's face.

"Looking a bit...wistful there, Marco," she commented, teasing lightly.

[identity profile] morpherboy.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Marco twitched. "It was black. And shinny. And looked so, so cool."

Re: Wait Your Turn - Driver's Ed [Week Two]

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Turtle gave a rueful, stiffly sympathetic patting against Marco's shoulder. "There, there," she told him. "I'm sure with your blossoming celebrity, there will be plenty of black, shiny cars for you to eventually, inadvertently crash into little explody pieces."

Re: Wait Your Turn - Driver's Ed [Week Two]

[identity profile] morpherboy.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Marco sniffled dramatically. "They won't explode, I'll hire someone to drive them. And not let Jake anywhere near them." Not that Jake was leaving his room at the moment.

Re: Wait Your Turn - Driver's Ed [Week Two]

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Turtle frowned skeptically at Marco. "What's the point of having a cool shiny car if you're going to have someone else drive it?"

Re: Wait Your Turn - Driver's Ed [Week Two]

[identity profile] morpherboy.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"Until I get my permit." Marco explained. "Cause the last time I drove, I broke the front door, steering wheel, and gas pedal." The last time he drove, Marco had been a gorilla.

"Wow," Turtle's wide-eyed expression was mostly surprise, but at least a little bit of it certainly was a bit of awe. "And here I was just pulling your leg about being destructive. Remind me that if we ever have to partner up for drives in the class, not to be with your group."

Eh. It was serviceable, if ugly. Really ugly.

"Uso bakkari!" Dōjima muttered under her breath, looking at the car. "It's so ugly! Does it even move?"

Jenny was slightly horrified by the car. "Yes, but why?"
