Library; Wednesday [ 01/09 ]
There was an almost ceremonial feeling in the air as Adah limped into the library; it hadn't been a while since she'd been there, no, of course not, but it had felt like it had been a while since she'd opened it. Not that she ever did an exceptional amount of work while she was there, but she limped in, found the desk, carefully pulling out her chair. She had a seat, centered it carefully, and then settled her bag on one corner. She then meticulously angled the books so that they were balanced with everything else on the desk. She brushed a hand over the surface, leaned in close, and blew a stream of air over imaginary dust. And then she was prepared to start the day, after a theatrical, though extremely quiet, mouse-like cough at the imaginary disturbance of her lungs.

There was only one way to find out for certain. She made her way down to the library, and gave a tight smile to Adah as she stepped up to the desk. "Excuse me, is the librarian in his office?"

No. This was not shaping up to be his day.
"Principal Washburne."
He had hoped it was a different Washburne.

"What are you doing here?"

His previous visitor had not left him in a particularly friendly mood. It was to be expected.

And then, when she got close, the words all seemed to fade, and all she could think to do was punch him with everything she had in her.

He didn't dodge or try to stop her. This-- he most certain he deserved.
Gently touching the side of his face, he slowly got to his feet. Rather hopeful that it wouldn't result in being hit once more. "I am not here to harm anyone."
Re: Third Period -- 01/09
"You expect me to believe that? Honestly?" she asked. "Because you're sure as hell not a librarian."

"I was not aware of you presence here. Nor that of Miss Tam," He said, arranging the books carefully before meeting her eyes. "I can assure you, it would not have been my choice to come here had I known."

He paused, correcting that. "Not from me or any actions on my part."
Re: Third Period -- 01/09
"What are you doing here, then?" she asked.

"I hope for your sake that this is just a job," she said. "I have a family here, and people that I care about very much. If I get even a hint that you might be a threat to them, I won't hesitate to take care of the problem."

And no, he did not think it was an offer he was going to take her up on either.
