Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
The weather was thankfully behaving, so it was fairly warm outside as everything was set up for the picnic. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.
[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP, HAVE AT IT. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"It will display a three dimensional representation of crystal recorded events on an endless loop until interrupted. Really, a very nifty thing to have."
Re: Meet Your Teachers (Spring 2008)
"Maybe you could show me this Tri-Dimensional thingy sometime."
Re: Meet Your Teachers (Spring 2008)
"I don't know that that there are any on this side. Do you, uhm, know of any way I could send for one?" Glitch still had no idea how things worked here, but was open to suggestion.

Glitch still didn't get that people here didn't know what he was talking about most of the time for a reason.

"What's a pirate?"

Painted, angry, and with one eye. He nodded, and felt that these pirates would be pretty easy to avoid.
"Do pirates not like zippers?" He couldn't see what it had to do with anything, but maybe the zipper was finally an advantage instead of a weak point.

He was about to ask who Miss Bell was when a synapse suggested that, maybe, he was being rude, or annoying, with is questions.
"Sorry about the questions."
He gestured around himself, at the island, and continued, "I'm not exactly familiar with, uhm, here." He had forgotten the name of where here was, but it would show back up eventually.

"Liquor, right?" He smiled. Yes, liquor would probably be helpful at times.

He was, of course, thinking of small wee children running about with pitchers of ale. To say he looked shocked at the idea was probably an understatement.
"That doesn't exactly seem appropriate."

"I thought you had meant, well," he made a gesture he thought might indicate 'short' or 'little,' "children. Small ones."

"Sleep with?"
Synapses were flailing around, aghast, at the suggestion. His face took on a horrified look, and it was an Ambrose-ish voice, finally, that said "You sleep with them?"
That was not proper. At all. Ever.

A hand went up to his face as he winced.
"Of course. I'm sorry."
Glitch didn't think this was probably the best way to get to know his colleagues, accusing them of sleeping with their students. His face was growing a bit red as thought of just how far his foot had gone into his mouth.
