Ethics [Thursday, December 20, 1st period]

As Anakin paced around the Danger room, he looked like he hadn't really gotten a good night's sleep in a few days.

Which was very true.

"Welcome to your Ethics final," he said, pacing around the room. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. Chose one, and either pull up a seat, " --the simulation generously provided on--"and tell me which of the options you would pick, or choose to try the simulation as a live demonstration and see what kind of consequences your actions would have."

He pressed his lips together. "Try not to die if at all possible."

These answers were shockingly simple. Aravis wondered if she would be in trouble for making up her own, however.

First and foremost, I feel I need to know what they are rebelling against or in favor of. However, due to my ignorance of these matters at the moment, I choose to assume that these are the rebels causing war in my home country at the moment. I would certainly enjoy getting my hands on one of them and exchanging a few words.

b). Actual planetary destruction seems excessive.

Oh, THIS one was easy.

d) Disguise my sister as the rebel leader, find some rebels to take her back to their base, and follow them.

... But, really, if you've GOT rebels, you should probably re-think your government, because rebels are NOT a good sign.

D. Puppet show. Trust me. Works every time.

Jaina spent a really long time on this answer, given the history involved. And by 'spent a really long time on', it meant that she had scratched C out so good it would be hard to read the answer.

She came back to it when she was satisfied with that.

b) Drag her out onto the command deck and threaten to blow up her planet. You can get away with this one, but don't ACTUALLY blow anything up. Besides the loss of innocent lives, I know that personally if you blew up my planet, I'd actually be less inclined to say anything.

Ino didn't even have to think about an answer to this one. She grinned a little while adding in her answer.

d) Take over her mind, and using both her knowledge and her body infiltrate the base.

Gavin blanched at this question and finally chose an answer.

A.

And wrote nothing else.

There was a trend with the "C" option. Kabuto circled it again, and went on to add: You'll do better in the long run by demonstrating that you don't make idle threats.

Considering that depending on who was in charge back home she was often a rebel?

A. Questioning thoroughly of a person seems to work better than destroying their home and killing people.

After careful consideration, John selected B, even though watching a planet blow up would be pretty cool, he didn't see any reason to murder innocents.

Rodney was pleased that there was actually an option he agreed with for this question, though he did add a qualifier.

b) If threatening alone isn't effective, make a demonstration by blowing up an uninhabited moon.

This one was easy.

b) And if that isn't enough, there are plenty of ways to get the necessary information from her without destroying people who should be loyal to me if they are wise. Take it from her mind through magical means, physical torture, mental torture, taking the time to personally hunt down and capture all those who she holds dear, or any combination of those would be much better choices than mindless destruction.
