Ethics [Thursday, December 20, 1st period]

As Anakin paced around the Danger room, he looked like he hadn't really gotten a good night's sleep in a few days.

Which was very true.

"Welcome to your Ethics final," he said, pacing around the room. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. Chose one, and either pull up a seat, " --the simulation generously provided on--"and tell me which of the options you would pick, or choose to try the simulation as a live demonstration and see what kind of consequences your actions would have."

He pressed his lips together. "Try not to die if at all possible."

Jaina frowned, and couldn't resist changing the answer.

c) Ignore the idea that she might be dead and go after her yourself. Upon finding her remains, torch the village she was in. Find her still shooting things, add assistance where needed.

d) Remain a straight female.

After a moment, she added, Nothing's written in stone, do what you can and prepare just in case.

Aravis didn't have to think very hard.

d) wonder when I went back in time, since my mother has been dead for six years.

If however this happened to someone close to me who was not my mother, nor a relative as I am not overly fond of them for the most part, I find myself choosing option e), which is very similar to option c) but without setting the village on fire. I don't like fire very much. It's too damned hot.

But ensuring that whoever took my friend/boyfriend/companion is very sorry is indeed the most appealing and logical option, as such behavior cannot be met without anything but justice and removal of privileges. If 'privileges' include breathing, perhaps kidnapping was simply not the most beneficial line of work for them.

Again, Aravis did not have to think very hard.

d) not marry a WOMAN. Can I even do that?

However, if perhaps I were to stretch the bounds of the question and approach it as my husband (in the far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far distant future) is going to die (in some way that is, presumably, not childbirth), I feel I would most likely choose option b). If there is a way to prevent his death and prolong his life, as this sounds like a curtailed, unfair ending to life, then anything that can be done will be done to save him.

These answers were shockingly simple. Aravis wondered if she would be in trouble for making up her own, however.

First and foremost, I feel I need to know what they are rebelling against or in favor of. However, due to my ignorance of these matters at the moment, I choose to assume that these are the rebels causing war in my home country at the moment. I would certainly enjoy getting my hands on one of them and exchanging a few words.

b). Actual planetary destruction seems excessive.

e). Utilize plan a), and do not get killed.

Is that not the point of PLANNING? I do not plan without "no dying" being a chief element, for the most part. It does tend to be important.
