"I trust you all completed your childcare assignments to my satisfaction," Anakin said from his position behind his desk.

Why yes, he was going to blow right past the part where he'd been an action figure last week.

"Today you will tell me--in detail--what you learned from your experiences with parenthood. Next week will be your final exam. I'll try not to kill you."

He could be joking. With Anakin it was really hard to tell.

"I learned that John should never been allowed to procreate," Rodney said with a glare at his 'partner.' His efforts to convince John that he was not the momma not the girl in this relationship had been entirely futile. He really needed to find a way to make John forget that he knew Rodney's first name.

"Also," he added, "I learned that this technology is-" Rodney broke off just time before he could accidentally admit to the fact that he'd tried to reprogram the twins. "Really fascinating," he finished lamely.

Anakin's eyes lit up. "You liked the droids?"

"Oh, yes," he nodded. "I haven't seen anything close to this level of advanced robotics before. I would've liked to take them apart and really seen how they worked if I didn't think they were going to blow up in my face," he lamented. This was probably the real reason John had not actually tried to give Steve and Bob back to him since Monday. He must have thought that Rodney would try again.

"I did that on purpose," Anakin said. "I didn't want anyone cheating to adjust what the babies were recording."

He grinned proudly. "I made them all."

"Well, I suppose that makes sense," Rodney nodded.

"Any chance you'd be willing to let me look at the specs?" He asked excitedly. Rodney couldn't help it, alien technology got him hot fascinated him.
