Library; Wednesday [ 12/12 ]

Clutching the tea that she's finding herself increasingly dependent on with the decrease in temperature, Adah limped in to open the library, with enough time to get a decent pile of books back into their places before officially getting things started for the day and settling behind the desk. She even bothered to put the books in the proper places today, if only, merely because she can.

"Hello," he said again and thought that was enough for greetings. Instead, he moved a little closer and brushed his lips against hers, light and lingering.

As if Adah would settle for light and lingering after a set-up like that. Once she started to feel the Eel moving in, her breath caught again, which she wasn't thinking was possible, and her lips drew apart before they met with his, closing softly but eagerly. She hoped to drag it out wonderfully, just as they dragged out the set-up to the inevitable.

It didn't take much to encourage Lee to slide the kiss from light and lingering into something more firm and not at all light. He leaned further over the desk, getting as close as he could.

[And I might drop off anytime. Damn work and their damn eleven hour days.]

On her list of things other than understanding language that she missed in her period of recuperation from the coma, which hadn't existed until just this moment, kisses like that were definitely very close under the language thing. A small sound snagged in her throat, as her neck seemed to be unable to stretch as much as she'd like forward to enjoy it more.

Lee, although not the tallest guy around, was tall enough to push himself a little closer to her. He slid one hand across her cheek, fingers brushing her ear as he kissed her. He'd missed kisses in the library, across the counter and he hadn't really realized how much till right now.

Multitasking had never been something Adah had been exceptionally good at. Too many motions, matched with the building and oversensitivity of her senses, didn't help, either, so she felt very accomplished and very, very good when she found herself able to drift her hand up against his against her cheek, sliding her fingers in between his as the brushed her ear. With only minute clumbsiness and perfectly able to drag her kiss away slightly, quickly returning with renewed eagerness.

Something about that gesture jolted him in all the good ways and he sighed, blushing faintly and smiling against her lips. He squeezed his fingers against hers before pulling away for a moment to press a soft kiss on each corner of her mouth.

All those little change, little things. Given the chance as the Eel pulled back slightly, Adah let out the breath that kept getting caught, a sigh of her own. The blush of her own came after she smile back, after she spoke, a little mutter, barely audible. "That's a pretty good qualification, too.."

"I'm pretty good at this," he said, one corner of his mouth rising in a half smile. "I could put it at the top of my qualification list. Star it, add check marks, circle it and underline it."

"Right there above modesty, clearly," Adah commented, grinning slightly as she leaned up to find another kiss.

"I can be modest," he mumbled, catching her lips with his, kissing her lazily and languidly. He could totally be modest. Sometimes. Maybe. Why was he thinking about this right now?

"Mmhm." The soft hum against the Eel's lips was an agreeing one, though it didn't sound too terribly convinced. The kiss would suggest that it didn't exactly matter if she was convinced or not.

"Just not right now," he said and grinned against her lips again before kissing her lightly. "Because I know this is good. For both of us."

Hey, Adah was not about to argue that in the slightest In fact, with a soft chuckle in her grin that she wasn't about to allow to interrupt kissing him back, she figured he was pushing on that whole talking too much thing of his that she usually liked.

Without really thinking about, Lee shifted just a bit, moved so he could kiss the hand she had over and intertwined with his. Light kisses against the top of her head, knuckles and fingers.

Much better than talking. The stretch of her neck, the warmth and crookedness of her smile, all increased as Adah tried to pay rapt attention to his movement across new area. Or at least she tried to focus on the areas where he softly settled his lips against her forehead, her fingers, her hand, but the pull to think of further, similar explorations was a strong tide to fight.

"Feel that?" Lee asked, lips against the top of her head before pressing a kiss there. "What about there?" Another kiss against her wrist. "Soft? Gentle?"

"It's very nice," Adah answered, smiling lightly as she opened her eyes, knowing it would help her to see, but wanting to look anyway, her hand curling slightly in response to the kisses nearby. She was feeling the blush in her cheeks, and it left her a little lacking in breath.

"Good," he said, rubbing his cheek against her wrist. "It's supposed to so I'm glad it's working."

Adah's head shifted, slightly, toward the Eel, but it couldn't move, not from this angle, quite the way she wanted to. She wanted to kiss that cheek against her wrist, but the muscles in her neck would hear nothing of it. Which meant she'd just have to sit back and enjoy the attention. Damn. Woe. Tragedy....

"We always run into the this counter obstacle," Lee said, coming back up to smile at her before kissing her lightly. "It's just built here to get in our way."

"Or perhaps," Adah offered with a light grin, a crooked smirk, leaning her forehead against his to look into his eyes with the glint of what she was feeling behind them, "to keep us in check over the fact that this is a library, and, usually, if we're noticing the desk like this, it's because one of us should probably be working instead of kissing the other person."

"You're way too logical," he said and grinned. "The books will still be here after I leave. They're probably just jealous of me, getting your attention."

Ah, and the compliments like way too logical worked just as well on Adah as all those nice kisses. Chin lifting a little, she beamed, with satisfaction, as she commented, quite logically, "I wasn't aware that books were capable of complicated emotions like envy."

"Books are capable of so many things," he teased, nodding. "They can cause envy so why can't they feel it?"

He had no idea why he was being completely stupid but he was.
