The screens in Spider’s classroom this morning are showing various scenes from around the school and school grounds. Various students are in the study hall, walking between the buildings, arguing, making out… just another average morning.

Spider’s desk is covered in maps and there are semi-transparent displays clustered around him as he rummages. Before the desk, on an easel, is the following notice.

Students:

Today we’re going to discuss the student election process because, to date, I haven’t seen any process at all. Do the candidates have stated public platforms yet? Have there been debates scheduled? Do we have a date for the elections themselves? What, exactly, are the duties and powers for the various positions?

Discuss and/or ferret out the answers.

((OOC: There will be a later post regarding tomorrow’s field trip. I have to go back and check who signed up to go and whether they all really have turned in their permission slips. I also have to go back and respond to students in yesterday’s class because last night got a little out of hand so I didn’t get back to that – and my deepest apologies.))

Duce spots Jayne coming in and does an obvious double-take.

*ducks head, almost blushing*

Chihaya looks over at Jayne as well and grins. "He's kind of cute like that."

*sits down*

Duce nods at Chi. "We approve of the clean, good looking thing."

Beka considers talking to Duce. But figures it's going nowhere and continues to write out her thoughts on academic affairs to try to create a sensible platform.

"Suits are really nice," Chihaya said, loud enough for Jayne to hear. He was obviously uncomfortable but Chihaya really did think he looked nice.

Duce eyes Chihaya up, "You'd look cute in a suit, too."

"Who me?" Chihaya laughed. "I look like a little boy going to church."

Duce retorts, "And that's not cute, how?"

Heh. Cute girl. I'd normally say something like, "What the hell does she see in you?" But you clean up real nice, Jayne. Hell, I'd ask you to Homecoming if I actually cared about going. Which I don't.

So you wanna go?

*blinks, looks a bit like a deer in headlights* What? Are you -- What are you asking?

Yeah.. I am.. *sits a little striaghter*

Okay. Sure, yeah, that sounds like fun.

I assume you won't be wearing a suit, though. Have you already decided who to go as?
