Library [07/14]

Dinosaurs were not part of the craze in her timestream where people brought extinct animals back through cloning. Thursday, however, had dealt with dinosaurs in her time inside fiction and didn't particularly feel like trying to negotiate with sharp teeth this time. So she packed up Friday and Pickwick, locked up the house, left a note for her housemates letting them know what was going on and where she was going and headed to the library. Friday would have been out of there and off to Mrs Bradshaw's in as much time as it takes to say 'I was in a long, dark, wood-panelled corridor', but the BookWorld was dealing with its own problems right now.

Fairly certain that the dinosaurs wouldn't be able to read, Thursday closed the doors up and put a note on the front saying 'open, knock or shout first', put Friday, his toys and Pickwick down where she could see them and set about trying to find out how exactly dinosaurs had shown up overnight without a fuss and how to get them to go away again.

Turtle...was not a hero type. Not unless money was involved, but she was pretty sure dinosaurs didn't exactly have legal tender.

Didn't mean she wasn't there to research to find out if maybe she was wrong, and they did. She figured she'd do at least a little bit of researching before writing out her last will and testament, anyway. That explained the law books she was picking up as well.

"Both," Turtle said, and then held up a book on Inheritance Law she'd picked out. "Plus a few legal issues. Not only am I pretty sure 'eaten by T-Rex' isn't on my parent's insurance policy, but I don't have a will yet, and it needs to be clear where my estate is going." Turtle nodded quite seriously.

Turtle nodded. "Thanks," she said with a smile but then, before Thursday got a chance to leave, she thought of something. "Oh! Um, just a moment. You, uh, don't know if...or know if there's anything in the library that might know, really, if there's any good offering price for any dead dino carcass in the black market or anything?"

It was clear by her face that she wasn't intending on finding some dead dino carcass, but she'd hate it if she was missing a good business opportunity as well.

"Hmmm," Turtle frowned slightly, thinking, and then tilted her head. "Yeah, I see what you mean there. In that case, you wouldn't happen to know where Miss Mal Doran might be, would you?"

Turtle nodded. "Thanks," she said, wondering if she could secure a carcass by the time she did manage to run into Miss Mal Doran, but, really, should definitely have the will done first. She went to find a table and get to work.
