Pie for beginners - Monday July 9th - 2nd Period

The class was handwavily given notes to meet in the Danger Shop for class. There they would find that it was set up a lot like the old home economics class, with long table desks in the middle and cooking area’s on the side.

Yondaime stood at the front of the class next to a television and smiled nervously to everyone once they were seated. “Good Morning! And Welcome to… uh… pie class! I'm your teacher Yondaime. Obviously this is a class about pie and how to make it! We’re going to be going over pie crusts, fillings and at the end of the term we’re going to have a contest between all of you for your own original pie recipe.”

Did it seem like he didn’t know what he was doing? “But first! Let’s start off with introductions, and then we’ll watch a film about pie crusts which will get us ready for next week’s class.”

Anemone may have been bouncing a lot little. A class on tasty treats? Jurgens was forgiven for any and all transgressions for a week. She dipped a quick curtsy and beamed at the class.

"Hello! My name is Anemone, and I am sixteen years old. I have not yet had pie, but since I love all tasty things, I am sure I will like it."

Something interesting? Uh...Anemone bit the inside of her cheek. She didn't exactly want to tell people what she was. Oh! "I am new, and I am one of the way-way-future people. So if I look confused, I probably am."

Bart gave her a hopeful look. "How far in the future?"

"I'm not quite sure...about 12,000 years? I know it's at least 10,000. Humanity still needs to colonize other solar systems, loose where they left Earth, and eventually wander back without knowing where they are. Ancestors of my boyfriend must have been driving the colony ships, he's an idiot with maps." Anemone looked at Bart eagerly. "Are you a future-person too? We should form a club!"

"Aww, I'm from only a thousand years in the future," Bart replied sadly. "A club? That'd be fun! We can talk about how boring the tech here is and how the language is weeeeird."

"The language is just different enough to be confusing." Anemone nodded seriously. "And I do not know any of their holidays, nations, or politics. Their magazines are not much assistance, they only cover, ah, celebutants? Famous people? I think I'll have to go read an encyclopedia." The face she made showed just how much Anemone was looking foward to *that* idea.

Bart nodded, the magazines were really weird. "I learned a lot from the video games. You should try that."

Then again, Bart still assumed that a reset button existed somewhere.
