Pie for beginners - Monday July 9th - 2nd Period

The class was handwavily given notes to meet in the Danger Shop for class. There they would find that it was set up a lot like the old home economics class, with long table desks in the middle and cooking area’s on the side.

Yondaime stood at the front of the class next to a television and smiled nervously to everyone once they were seated. “Good Morning! And Welcome to… uh… pie class! I'm your teacher Yondaime. Obviously this is a class about pie and how to make it! We’re going to be going over pie crusts, fillings and at the end of the term we’re going to have a contest between all of you for your own original pie recipe.”

Did it seem like he didn’t know what he was doing? “But first! Let’s start off with introductions, and then we’ll watch a film about pie crusts which will get us ready for next week’s class.”

Evie just stared at him a moment. "Never had pie? Oh you poor thing."

Bart looked around, was the pie thing the wrong thing to say? "But we're trying it in class, right?"

"Oh, definitely, yes!" Evie said very hastily. "And making it, so we can try it! You'll like it very much, I promise!"

"And coffee too?" Rikku had mentioned coffee and he really still needed to try it.

Evie stared. "You haven't had coffee? Oh dear lord. We have to remedy this! The Perk! After class, we have to go, oh you *must* have it, it's splendid and it makes you so much more energetic and-- I can't believe you haven't had it!"

"I have work after class," Bart replied, now getting worried that coffee was somehow a magic elixer that would make him even faster and he hadn't had any until now. Why hadn't Wally told him about it?!

It was probably a controlled substance, in the future. But Evie wouldn't have cared even if that were the case.

"Then at some point, coffee. Rikku's completely right. We should all go, you and any other new students who have lived without coffee before this." Evie shook her head. "The Perk has the best. I do so love it."

Bart bounced a little. "Should we make glitter signs to get people to go?"

What? The glittery sign worked on him for Turtle & Canary, it should work on everyone else, right?

"Ooo! Splendid idea, Bart!" Evie beamed at him in approval. "Excellent!"

"I can get poster stuff at work," He suggested, totally thinking that Evie was the nicest girl ever. Right up there with Irulan and he giant hat. Though that hat was pretty cool still...

"Ooo, wonderful! Tomorrow, then, since you work today? After workshops?" Evie suggested. "And hopefully we'll have lots and lots of new people finding out about coffee and mochas and lattes and espresso. That's my favorite."

"Espresso?" Bart made a mental note to try that one a lot. "Okay! I'll get lots of glitter and markers and chocolate, but I don't think that has anything to do with poster making but it's good anyway so we'll get some."
