Arts & Crafts 3, Tuesday Afternoon, Main Campfire

This afternoon Steve was standing over a table of useless junk. At each of the tables for workshoppers were glue, glitter, paint, and pipe cleaners.

"Today we're going to work on improvisational art," Steve said. "I've...handwavily appropriated some items from a store in town." He'd tried to pay, but there didn't seem to be anyone to pay. "You are to incorporate at least one of them into your project. Make whatever you want. Go wild. Have fun."

After a moment of silence, he added as a sort of footnote, "The theme of your project should be, 'Why the Superhuman Registration Act is a bad idea and will never work.'"

Johnny was certain there was no such thing as the Superhuman Registration Act. But he was going to protest it regardless. Anything against superhuman was bad. Way bad.

To demonstrate this, he took off his shirt and glittered up his body, using himself as his art project. He then broke up the other half of the N'Sync CD and glued the pieces onto his chest for added shininess. Yes, perfect! He was perfect!

(A snowflake (http://community.livejournal.com/fhplotterywheel/70687.html) fell on Johnny's head this morning. He thinks he's perfect. Everybody wants him.)

Johnny noticed Savannah staring too. Giving her a crooked, sexy little grin, he walked, no he strutted over to her. "Hey, sweetheart."

Wasn't this the guy she had the strong case of the hots for... who feared glitter?

"Thank you for noticing, babe," he said softly, stepping closer to her. "Do you like the way it makes me look?" Johnny flexed his muscles, just enough to hopefully catch her attention.

What did one say to the guy you liked who had just glued pieces of a CD to himself? This was not covered in the Grimoires.

"Do you want to touch me?" He leaned down, eye-level with her now. "You can, if you'd like. I'm my own art project, feel free to explore, if that is your desire."

That would be a mental *facepalm* Savannah was doing. He had to be drunk. True, Johnny was spontaneous and blunt, but she was sure she had never seen him acting this way before.

Of course, she was in no way going to turn him down. What, you thinks she was crazy?

She reached out her hand and ran it along his arm.

"You should let me take a picture of you. I have never seen such a pretty piece of artwork."

Johnny watched her hand glide down over his arm and saw some of the glitter float away. Smirking, he said, "Of course you haven't. I'm pretty much incomparable. And Savannah, please, take a picture if you want. But first, be a sweetheart and put more glitter on me?"

Oh yes, she was going to be taking photos of this and quite possibly sketching him, too.

Why no, she didn't honestly think about suggesting he put glue -- or baby oil! -- on him to keep the glitter in place on his skin. Why do you ask?

"Why, of course, Johnny," she said in her best simpering tone. She wasn't very good at it, but it did seem sincere and like she couldn't stop paying attention to him. Eve was going to fall on her ass laughing when she replayed this for her later.

Savannah retrieved the glitter and doused him quite liberally with it... including his pants. Why not?

"Oh, now you are extra shiny," she said with a cheerful grin as she took out her camera phone and started clicking away.

He watched her every move; he knew she liked looking at him, touching him, making him extra shiny for everyone to take note of and admire. Johnny stood straight, his shoulders squared, showing off his tight, fit form.

Smiling at Savannah, he inclined his head briefly, "Thank you, sweetheart." Then he totally posed for the pictures. "Get my good side--" he chuckled "--I suppose I don't have a bad side, do I?"

Charlie... was not entirely sure where to look here. Yes, Johnny was very pretty. On the other hand? Beyond cheezy, into camp. And maybe she shouldn't read anything into that N'Sync CD? No, no.

"The CD isn't scratching you, is it?" she settled for.

"Oh, well hello there, Charlie," Johnny said with a cute little grin. "And no. But they are shiny and add to the overall effect of the glitter, don't you think?" He preened, puffing out his chest a little, encouraging her in his own way to check him out.

Yes, he thought he was perfect.

Charlie choked, then giggled. "Um, yeah? But what's the message supposed to be? 'I'm too cute to register'?"

Johnny blinked, "There's supposed to be a message?" He did know that, right? He must have just forgotten.

"Superhumans are definitely too cute to register." He would go with that, because she said it basically.

"So Charlie, do you want to touch me?" He almost snorted, because really, who wouldn't?

His arms went akimbo and he cocked his head, "Why not? I'm glittery. I thought the glitter brought on the kissing?" Okay, he said touch, but he would take kissing too.

"Boykissy, but...." This wasn't as reassuring as Charlie hoped, but, hey. She could play along. Nothing to be embarassed about, right? Savannah had draped herself all over Johnny. It wasn't that big a deal. She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then grinned. "You're in a good mood."

His head was still cocked, but his grin grew, "I thought we were past the cheek kissing, Charlie? I think my good mood deserves a proper kiss. I am shiny you know. And there are no boys around to take advanatage." Not that Johnny would allow that. He didn't think.

"Johnny..." Okay, this was starting to make Charlie a little uncomfortable. "We're in class. And you're shirtless. And... you're kidding, right? We can kiss some more on our next date," she said, looking hopeful.

He wasn't kidding, but there was enough tone in his name when she said it for him to relent. A little. "All right. I suppose my shiny, shirtless body is a distraction for you. I should think of others first." But today he was just finding that so damn hard to do. He quirked a brow, "Kissing on our next date sounds very tempting. I am very much looking forward to it."

Johnny looked down at himself then back at his professor. "Superhumans do not need to register! We are shiny! Therefore we...shine...and help save the planet!"
