Construction Site [Monday]

As a new week opened, Fraser's back at the site, hard hat on his head and tool belt around his waist.

"We're making fine progress," he told the workers, "but we've still got a ways to go. Continue working, be safe and take breaks when needed. It's going to be warm today."

There were hard hats (yellow and one pink) and tool belts for the students to equip themselves with.

When it got close to lunchtime, Conner headed over Fraser's way. "Hi, uh, Constable Mountie-dude?"

"Hello Mr. McKnight," Fraser said. "Something I can do for you?"

"Well," Conner replied, fiddling with the straps on his hard hat (which he still didn't know was pink), "I was just wondering if it was a problem for me to only work through lunch today? My girlfriend's in the clinic and I'm kinda afraid she might try and leave before the doctor says it's okay."

"That's perfectly fine, Mr. McKnight," Fraser said quickly. "Will she be all right?"

"I'm hoping so, yeah," Conner replied. "Just want to make sure, you know?"

"By all means, please go be with her," Fraser said. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let me know."

Why Deadpool was at the construction site was something that not even he knew.

Something about revenge or UST that didn't exist, but it was all very vague.

"Mountie."

"Professor," Fraser said politely. "Something I can do for you?"

"Nope," He replied helpfully, kicking a rock. "Can't a man go and annoy the local Mountie for no apparent reason?"

"Usually I would say no," he said, "but I know you better. You're bored enough to come around and annoy me? I'm pretty unannoyable."

Fraser didn't know that that wasn't a word.

That was a challenge.

"So, I found out that there are students who do worse in a fight than you."

Fraser raised an eyebrow. "Really? Enlighten me then, married man."

He glared at the Mountie for that. "Oh yes. One of the teenage girls with no fighting skills whatsoever. I think you might be able to take her."

"That assumes that I would fight a teenage girl," Fraser said. "Which I won't. And who's to say I didn't hold back when I fought you?"

Deadpool gave him a look and tried very hard not to laugh.

Really.

That snickering was your imagination.

"Quiet," Fraser said, glaring this time. "You know, I think Aly might be a better fighter than you. Not that I've fought her before."

Might as well go for something that he thought would tick Deadpool off.

"I've fought with her before. She's pretty good," Deadpool acknowledged. "And yes, she could kick your ass easily."

"You really think so?" He had no idea how they'd gotten to this topic.

"Oh yeah," Deadpool said with a nod. "She's good. Not as strong, but damn quick."

"I still don't tend to fight women," he said. And he really didn't want to get beat up by one.

Deadpool made a face as he thought of Elektra. And Misty. And Colleen. And Outlaw. And Terry.

"Why not?"

"Because it's not how I do things," Fraser said.

Deadpool gave him another look. "Is this some weird chivalry thing that you Mounties follow? Because that'll just get your ass kicked."

"Maybe it's just me," Fraser said. "I wouldn't fight Aly."
