Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

"I'm starting to think we need a census. And a list of likely suspects if various things happen," she chuckled. "I suppose I'd be top of the list for random changes in hair color."

"Oh come on," Isabel said, bumping against his shoulder. "I think a nice tropical orange would be perfect for you tonight."

"Not a chance," he said, hands still in his hair. "You already have pictures of me with different colored hair. Not in public!"

"I never get to have any fun," she pouted. "Can I at least change your shirt? I'll change it back later, I promise."

"Never," Isabel promised. She passed her hand over his shirt and within a few moments it wound up looking quite appropriate (https://secure.alohashirtshop.com/images/uploads/product_image_56.jpg). "There."

"It's very...loud," he said but he was smiling. "And nice. Thank you."

"It's a rule. Hawaiian shirts have to be loud," she told him seriously. "I wouldn't want to see you arrested by the fashion police. But I'm glad you like it. And I promise, I'll change it back tonight."

"A joking term refering to people that critique what you're wearing," Isabel explained. "Like if you turned up wearing a purple top with orange pants and snow boots, I would tell you to go back and change because nobody should be forced to look at that combination. So technically I would be acting as the fashion police."

She might have to make him sit and watch and episode of What Not to Wear just to get the point across.

"Okay, so I went for glaringly obvious. But believe it or not there are a zillion little rules that a certain type of people follow. Mostly insane fashionistas in New York or LA or some places in Europe." She tried to think of a way to explain it properly. "Think of Parker, and how perfectly put together and stylish she looks. You'd never see her in a pair of ripped up jeans or dirty sneakers. Because in her mind, it's just not right. And god I hope that makes sense."

"She suffer for about as long as it took her to get to the nearest Versace store and I don't even want to think of the complaining we'd hear," Isabel laughed. "Then, once she was fashionably dressed again? She'd burn the jeans and sneakers."

"Then she'd hit Prada and possibly every other fashion designer that's featured in this month's Vogue." She glanced sideways at him, amused that he was amused. "And do not even tempt fate by wishing them gone. We're in Fandom. It could happen."
