Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

"A joking term refering to people that critique what you're wearing," Isabel explained. "Like if you turned up wearing a purple top with orange pants and snow boots, I would tell you to go back and change because nobody should be forced to look at that combination. So technically I would be acting as the fashion police."

She might have to make him sit and watch and episode of What Not to Wear just to get the point across.

"All right, I might not have the best fashion sense but even I know that's something not to wear."

"Okay, so I went for glaringly obvious. But believe it or not there are a zillion little rules that a certain type of people follow. Mostly insane fashionistas in New York or LA or some places in Europe." She tried to think of a way to explain it properly. "Think of Parker, and how perfectly put together and stylish she looks. You'd never see her in a pair of ripped up jeans or dirty sneakers. Because in her mind, it's just not right. And god I hope that makes sense."

"What if all her clothes got lost and all she had was ripped up jeans and dirty sneakers?" He could still tease.

"She suffer for about as long as it took her to get to the nearest Versace store and I don't even want to think of the complaining we'd hear," Isabel laughed. "Then, once she was fashionably dressed again? She'd burn the jeans and sneakers."

"What if all the Versace stores were gone?"

This was almost fun.

"Then she'd hit Prada and possibly every other fashion designer that's featured in this month's Vogue." She glanced sideways at him, amused that he was amused. "And do not even tempt fate by wishing them gone. We're in Fandom. It could happen."

"It might be funny to see her wear ripped jeans and dirty sneakers though!"

"Personally I think she might just go naked. Or with a fashionable fig leaf or two," Isabel laughed.

Cedric blinked. "Wow...that's....wow."

"Like that mental picture do you?" she teased. "I'll make sure you have a head start before I tell her."

"That was mean, Isabel," he said and rubbed his eyes dramatically.

"I'm a terrible, horrible person," Isabel said woefully. "I'll have to make it up to you."

"You will," he agreed. "How?"

"I don't know. What do you want me to do?" she asked, only a little bit afraid.

"I'll have to think of something good," he said, grinning.

"I suppose I can give you some time to think of something," Isabel replied. "I just worry about your definition of good."

He smiled sweetly. "I promise to behave."

It was the smile that did it. Isabel buried her face in her hands and sighed. "I'm doomed."

"Perhaps." He wound an arm around her shoulders, still grinning. "But it'll be a pleasant doom."

"Smartass," Isabel replied, sliding an arm around his waist and leaning. "But I guess I'll still keep you around."

"Then I'm glad to be kept," he said quietly.

She didn't have words so she leaned a little closer, knowing they both probably needed it.
