Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

Molly sat down by the campfire, with a brief 'wtf?' look for the pig, and looked around for a stick to roast marshmallows.

Molly's attention had been attracted to the kissing only after all the yelling started. "WHAT?! Is that what that was all about? Seriously?! Mel and Zuko were kissing?"

"I thought they hated each other," Molly said, watching Katara flail with interest.

"Huh." Molly looked carefully at Katara and then to where Zuko and Mel had been. "I guess they don't completely hate each other after all."

Katara frowned. "I guess not." She threw a rock into the fire. "I don't know how they could! Seriously! They try to kill each other all the time!"

Molly smirked a little. "Are you, maybe, a little jealous that he didn't kiss you after one of your fights?"

"...NO!" Katara flailed waaaay more.

Molly pressed her lips together to keep from giggling at the flailing. "Suuuuure. You're just worried about Mel, right?"

Molly snorted, but kept herself from laughing out loud. "You're such a good friend to worry about Mel."

Steve happened to notice Molly and quietly began choking on a marshmallow.

She at least probably wouldn't cry on him, he thought, remembering their last encounter.

Molly narrowed her eyes when she spotted Steve. "You're not here to try and take me away are you? I'm supposed to be here."

Steve was startled. "What? No! Why would I try to take you anywhere?" She'd only beat him up.

Molly frowned. "Because except for when you came to visit Teddy, every other time I've seen you, you're trying to tell me what to do." She tilted her head. "Are you here to visit Teddy again?"

No, Molly didn't pay attention to adults very much. She also didn't listen to the radio.

"You're teaching art this summer?" Molly giggled a bit. "Yeah, you came for Parent's Weekend last fall? Although, with how Fandom is, I guess it might not have been you."

"I'll have you know I'm an artist, Miss Hayes," Steve said indignantly. "I went to art school and everything." Okay, so he'd never finished, but he had a good reason. "It wasn't me. I've never been here before last Friday."

Molly blinked at him. "Oh! It's not that!" she said. "It's just that Dean Mr. Professor The Tick taught art last summer. I was just wondering if being a superhero was part of the job description for an art teacher now."

Molly nodded. "He was from... somewhere else. I don't think he ever said he was from anywhere except The City," she told Steve. "He was big and he always wore his blue costume. He also had antenna that I'm pretty sure were smarter than he was."
