Glitter [Thursday, third period]

Out by the main campfire, there were a few tables set up, and a slim, nervous-looking brunette standing in front of them.

"Morning!" she said cheerfully. "If you want coffee, there's a ton, and I brought doughnuts? I hope that's okay with you guys. If you want me to bring different stuff next week, let me know."

She gripped her own coffee cup, and smiled. "Um, so hi. I'm Rory, and I know...most of you. And welcome to the workshop that has the really long name because I was in a creative mood when I submitted it, so we're just going to call it Glitter, okay? And this workshop is just going to be about making ordinary things more sparkly. Because sparkles are never a bad thing, right? Unless you get glitter in your hair. That stuff makes friends with your scalp or something and just never washes out, so be careful. "

She cleared her throat. "Um, so this is going to be pretty easy today. I want everyone to introduce yourselves, say your age and the grade you'll be in the fall, favorite color, and...favorite pizza topping. And then after that, I've got some shirts for you guys," she pointed to a table laden with glitter of all colors, glitter glue pens, puff paint, feathers, hot glue and all kinds of moddable goodies and a neat stack of white T-shirts. "You can do whatever you want to them, okay? Just be creative, and they're yours to keep."

"Right! So, introductions." She waved. "My name's Rory Gilmore, I'm eighteen and just graduated, so I'll be a freshman at Yale in the fall. Well, technically freshman with sophomore credits, but that's irrelevant. My favorite color is blue, and I like just about anything on my pizza, but pepperoni is my favorite."

She looked around, smiling. "Who wants to go next?"

"I'm Donatello, sixteen years old, in the junior class, and my favorite color is purple," he said, adjusting his mask a little, self-consciously. "Um, there's a lot of pizza toppings that I like, but I guess my favorite would be pineapple. Or maybe eggplant."

"My name's Demyx," the Nobody started. That was the easy part. "I like blue, and as for pizza toppings I think my favorite is probably weird..." He scratched his cheek sheepishly. "I like Japanese-style pizza with corn and shoestring potatoes and that sort of thing."

Luke grinned at her. "I'm Luke, I'm 18 and older than you, I'll be a senior this year and I like blue. Or black. Or anything that isn't remotely sand-colored. And I like pepperoni on my pizza, too."

"I'm Liz Sherman," Liz said, "I'm 14 and I'll be a sophomore in the fall. My favorite color is black and I don't have a particular favorite pizza topping,"

"Hi I'm Buffy, I'm 17 and I'll be a Junior." She smiled and waved a little at everyone. "I don't have a favorite colour, but I like pink and red. Um, I like meatballs on pizza the most, and really not anchovies."

"I'm Cedric Diggory," he said, "and I'm seventeen. I'll be a junior in the fall, my favorite color is yellow and I suppose cheese is my favorite pizza topping."

Cordelia stood up and flipped her hair over her shoulder, smiling. "Hi, I'm Cordelia Chase. I'm 16, and will be a junior in the fall. My favorite color is purple, because I look so fabulous in it, and I don't eat pizza because, hello, calories."

"I'm Jude," Jude started mellowly, somewhat dramatic hand flat on his chest. "I'm sixteen and gonna be a sophomore. Uh, my favourite colour is red and my favourite pizza topping is . . ." He considered this seriously. "Mushrooms. Or bacon. Both are really good. 'Specially with pepperoni."

Luke stared at the shirts, a little nonplussed. "I didn't know I'd have to wear the stuff," he muttered under his breath.

Donnie went through the t-shirts to find the largest size one and then pulled it on to see if it even fit - which it did, though slightly oddly, given it had to stretch over his shell.

Cordelia normally reserved glitter for campaign posters, but she decided to make an exception. She took some purple and began to write "Queen C" in purple, and drew a big heart around it.

A carefully glitter-free basket was waiting for her on the table when she arrived.

Inside, she'd find a croissant, a cupcake with orange frosting, and a small strawberry tart.

And a Zen garden.

It didn't need a note.

Luke waited for the rest of the workshop to leave before handing Rory a pink rose with a mischievous smile on his face. "You did good."

Buffy bounced up to Rory at the end of class. "Hi! I just wanted to say that I think this is the best class ever!" She was covered in glitter.
