Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2007 Part I - Saturday Afternoon

The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

It'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Grams sat as close to the front as she could so she could get a good view of her darling girl getting her diploma.

Wyatt sat down behind Grams. Then he realized who was in front of him and stared.

Chris sat down next to his brother, also staring. He elbowed Wyatt and raised a questioning eyebrow.

"Dude, is that her?" Wyatt whispered.

"I think so," Chris whispered back.

"Should we say something?" Wyatt said. "Do you think Mom's told her about us?"

Chris shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe we should wait and check with Mom?"

It didn't occur to him that they were probably talking loud enough for Grams to hear them.

Grams turned in her seat to look at the two young men whispering behind her. They looked strangely familiar.

Wyatt ducked in his seat. "Sorry, ma'am," he said.

Victor spotted Penny and took a seat at the opposite end of the audience.

Piper smiled warmly when she spotted her grandmother. "Hi Grams."

"Hello, my darling," Grams said, giving Piper a hug.

Piper gratefully accepted the hug. "I've missed you."

"And I've missed you, too," Grams said. "How has your new apartment been?"

"It's been good. And I have an awesome roommate," Piper said. "Now that's school's over, I'll have to visit the Manor."

Yeah, that had to be Phoebe's grandmother.

Anders gulped and tried not to draw any attention to himself. Maybe he could just scoot across the aisle?

Grams happened to look sideways and caught the strange young man with the look of terror on his face.

Anders really tried to scramble across the aisle, but he got his foot tangled up in the bleachers . . .

Grams frowned. "Is something wrong, young man?" she said, arching an eyebrow.

"Nothing," Anders said quickly. "Just a little disoriented?"

"You haven't been drinking, have you?" Grams sniffed. Kids these days.

"Drinking? No -- no!" Anders blurted out indignantly. "You think I'd show up at graduation drunk? I wouldn't do that to Ph --"

Okay, Anders, time to shut up.
