fandomhigh | Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2007 Part I

The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

It'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

"I think so," Chris whispered back.

"Should we say something?" Wyatt said. "Do you think Mom's told her about us?"

Chris shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe we should wait and check with Mom?"

It didn't occur to him that they were probably talking loud enough for Grams to hear them.

Grams turned in her seat to look at the two young men whispering behind her. They looked strangely familiar.

Wyatt ducked in his seat. "Sorry, ma'am," he said.

"Err... who are you here for?" Chris asked awkwardly.

"My granddaughter, Phoebe Halliwell," Grams said. "Are you students here?"

Chris nodded. "We know Phoebe."

"She's our . . . tutor," Wyatt said lamely.

"Really," Grams said, still trying to place why the boys seemed so familiar. "In what?"

"Math," Chris said, blurting out the first thing that popped into his head.

"I wasn't aware she was taking math," Grams said. "Where are you two from?"

"San Francisco," Wyatt said automatically, not thinking.

Chris facepalmed and elbowed his brother.

"San Francisco, hmm?" Grams said. "That's where my girls are from."

"We're not from the same San Francisco," Wyatt hastily clarified.

"Right, we're from the future," Chris added. Because that helped. Really.

They were totally doomed.

"The future?" Grams repeated. "What are your names? When are you from? Who is going to win the superbowl this year?"

"Uh... I'm Chris and this is Wyatt," Chris said. "We're from 2020 and I don't think we should tell you anything that might cause future consequences."

"Yeah, it could cause unforeseen . . . bad things," Wyatt said lamely.

Grams harumphed. "Well, I suppose you're right," she said.

Chris couldn't help but smile at her reaction. "Sorry, Grams," he said.

Oops.

Now it was Wyatt's turn to thwap Chris. "Dude!"

"Aha!" Grams said. "So which one of my girls do you belong to?"

"Piper," Chris mumbled, covering his face with his hand.
