Library - 4/18

Isabel was not particularly happy when she opened the library. It was too quiet without a chatterbox rambling on a mile a minute, or a sweet little boy trying to raid her hair gel.

It was going to be a very long day.

Dawn finally managed to drag herself out of bed and showed up just before lunch, carrying several books. "Hey."

"Hey Dawn," Isabel said quietly. "What's up?"

"I have some books to return," she said, tracing the dragon on the cover of the top one.

"You to?" she asked, looking at the titles.

Dawn sighed, "Maggie liked dragons. How was your weekend?"

"Prom was lots of fun," Isabel smiled. "Then on Sunday my brain got broken by a seven year old daughter and a four year old son."

"Sam and I raided a used bookstore, and then we got a seven year old daughter, he got three more kids, and Dean and I got an eight year old son, so...yeah." She was almost ready to let go of her grip on the books, really.

"So you guys really had your hands full," Isabel chuckled. "Sounds like Parker, she had six or seven. Two was enough for me. You know," she said, pulling up Dawn's library account on the computer, "you could keep those for a few more days if you'd like."

"Oh, yeah, there were Winchesters everywhere," Dawn smiled, a little sadly, "since Dean had three--including John--and their dad had a few extras, too. And no, these should be back. I'll just forget, otherwise."

"Okay then. I wouldn't want to have to go hunt you down for overdue books," she said, holding out her hands for the books. "I'm trying to stick to the bright side. Which is pretty much that at least in those realities, there's a happy ending."

Dawn reluctantly handed the books over, then clasped her hands behind her back. "That's true, and at least for me, it's not necessarily wrong, just waaaaaay too early."

Isabel took the books and started to check them back in. "Yeah, I'd say the same. Even if having Josh running around did make make things even more awkward with Greg."

"There was a wee alien-Greg hybrid and I missed him?" Dawn smiled, imagining, "Was he cute?"

"He was adorable," she grinned, pulling out her camera to show Dawn the pictures. "That's Josh, and that's Alexandria and Jack, that's Aiden and Cedric. That's Anders and his little girl..."

"Oh, he's so cute!" Dawn leaned over the counter to see better, "And you had kids with Jack and Cedric? And awwwww."

"Oh my god, worlds of no!" Isabel said quickly. "Alexandria was Jack's daughter yes, but Aiden? He was Jack and Cedric's son. He was a sweetheart, just like his dad."

Her grin widened, "I'm assuming like Cedric, then?"

"Just like both his dads," she laughed, not about to play favorites. "Although he was kind of quiet and a bit shy so maybe a tiny bit more like Cedric."

"Awwwwwww. I bet he was pretty."

"He was adorably cute," she smiled. "Alexandria was very intrigued by the idea of a big brother."

"Yeah, Maggie wasn't so thrilled with the idea of an older one, though she was willing to negotiate on a little one," Dawn grinned, remembering what Maggie had told her during the walk into town.

Isabel snickered. "Maybe you and Sam should start practicing? Although technically that would be for Maggie I suppose."

Dawn blushed, "No. Maggie was cute, but we're definitely not ready for her yet. Or I'm not, anyway."

"The key word there was practicing," she pointed out. "Unless this whole experience has made you swear off sex until you're thirty."

"Thirty's a long time," Dawn said, "but yeah, definitely a little leery right now, which isn't fair, because we were completely careful and we just got started!"
