Library [02/13]

Sam came to open the library armed with tea instead of his usual coffee. For once, he was more concerned about staying warm than staying awake.

"Maybe you need to be around the other person to use their power?" Sam suggested. "I can think of at least a few ways that could be really useful."

"That's what I figure," Peter said. "If I'm close to them I can do what they do. But it wears off once I'm far enough away."

"Maybe if you practice, you could hold onto the powers for longer." Sam smirked. "Consider that hand-me-down older brother advice."

Peter grinned. "Dean's said that about your thing?"

Sam nodded. "He keeps telling me I have to be patient if I want to be able to control my visions. Somehow, that advice seems more valid giving it to you."

"If you get any control over your visions maybe I can figure out my dreams," Peter said. "Or vice versa."

"If I get control over my visions, you'll definitely know, from the sounds of my joy," Sam said.

"What are they like now?" Peter asked. "If you don't mind telling me."

For all Sam didn't like to talk about his visions, he didn't mind telling Peter quite as much. "They're still pretty sudden. One minute I'm just standing there, and the next I'm on the floor with a killer headache," he said. "And they haven't gotten less disturbing in content either."

"Could try to help you with the headaches," Peter offered. "Not that I'm a nurse yet but I'm studying."

"Any kind of help with the headaches would be nice, even if you aren't fully trained yet," Sam replied, looking thankful.

"What are friends for?" Peter replied. "Can't prescribe you anything but I know some good herbal stuff, OTC, few physical techniques if you don't mind that."

Sam smirked. "I don't mind that, but anything that won't make me look like too much of a dork if I have to do it in front of Dawn would be preferred."

"My lips are sealed," Peter said. "Least I can do for karma keeping it quiet about my naked staircase time. Luckily Cassie was polite about it."

"Naked staircase time. The radio people would have had a field day with that," Sam remarked. "I'm not surprised Cassie was nice about it. She seems pretty nice in general."

"She helped me get big again," Peter said. He blinked. "Uh... in the whole body... yeah there's just no way to make that sound gentlemanly after the fact."

Sam did his best to keep his snickering to a bare minimum. "I'm sure you were as gentlemanly as you could be."

"Hey, I was this big," Peter said, holding his hand up over the desk to indicate his size. "I'm lucky Cassie was a lady about it. There could've been pictures."

"Are you sure she didn't take any mental pictures? Girls are sneaky."

Peter groaned and buried his face in his hands. "Don't suppose you know anybody with invisibility powers that I could stand next to? ~~Yanno, besides The Doctor~~"

Sam shook his head. "I'm afraid I can't help you out there. But hey, if she hasn't said anything to you about it, you probably don't have a reason to be concerned."

"I'll keep my fingers crossed," Peter said, lifting his head up again. "I'm watching movies with her and Teddy tomorrow."

"Is this friendly movie watching, or are you hoping Teddy will find a reason to bail out?"

"What?" Peter looked at Sam like he grew another head. "Nah. Just friends. Teddy found out I didn't have any plans for tomorrow so he took pity on me."

"Hey, Cassie saw you naked. It seemed like a valid question," Sam replied. "That sounds like a good way to spend the night though."
