Library [02/01]

A somewhat sleepy Bridge shuffles in to the library with coffee. Mmm, coffee.

Bridge spends most of first period nursing what appears to be a smallish bucket with the Perk logo on it full of coffee.

Now he's tired *and* hyped up on caffiene. Yes, that's entirely possible.

He's now shelving books, occassionally finding a still-misshelved book or two from last week when the action figures had tried to "help".

Bridge is sitting at the counter, playing Minesweeper on his laptop as he tries to make a decision about something.

Mind made up, Bridge heads out of the library with the intention of tracking the Source (http://bridge-carson.livejournal.com/29365.html). Library's closed unless you work here.

Weirdly tired, cold, and somewhat less substantial, Bridge shuffles back to the library.

As he goes around shelving books again, Bridge really wishes he'd had the time to grab another bucket-sized coffee from the Perk.

And now he's tidying up the library in preparation for closing.

For anyone who comes in after lunch: the insubstantial-ness isn't immediately apparent, and some of it's hidden by a glove (he wasn't wearing it when the attack happened, so it's unaffected).

Chris stops by after his class to see if he can find any reference material on magic that might help with the whole vanquishing thing.

"Hey, Bridge," he says with a wave.

Something in the shadows noticed Chris. Noticed, and liked what it saw.

Chris got a chill and looked around to see if there was an air vent nearby or something.

No air vent, but there was a shadowy hand that was now going directly for Chris's throat.

"What the..." Chris felt something at his throat and tried to pull away.

The shadow took from him what it wanted, then vanished as quickly as it had come.

Chris looked around, feeling extremely cold still, and very confused about what had just happened.

Since Bridge is here, Anders is here, too. He's not doing much of anything, just halfheartedly leafing through the latest trade issue of Unknowns in Eden and not paying a damn bit of attention to anything going on on the page.

"Hey, Chris!" Bridge calls back cheerfully from over in the stacks. "What's up, dude?"

When he doesn't get a response, he leaves the books he was reshelving on the cart and peers around the corner. "Dude?" he says, concerned.

Willow came in with a small package. "Hey Bridge."

"Hey Willow!" Bridge looks up with a grin. "What's up?"

"One 'Assistant Assistant' sign," Willow replied. She held up the sign she'd made with green glitter and giraffe and toast stickers, along with stars and happy faces.

"Oh, that's *perfect*!" Bridge says enthusiastically. "You win," he decides with a nod.

Angela marched down to the library after her conversation with Marty. She wiped away tears as she went behind the desk.

"Do we have any books about how to catch someone cheating on you?" she asked Bridge.

A somewhat sleepy Ms. Readman shuffled out of her office and said something that might have been 'Good morning.' In Basque.

Willow beamed. "Thank you. I'm very glad you like it."
