"Welcome, one and all, to the first school assembly of the new semester! In case you haven't met me yet, I am The Tick! Dean of Students here at Fandom High. That means that where student issues are concerned, I am the parking attendant in the self park garage of your education!"

"Today, we have a special in the garage! It's a special that speaks of a different kind of special you might get in a seedier garage. Today's special is called DANK: Drugs Are Not Kool! Spelling is cool, of course, but sometimes you have to make an exception and spell something with a 'k' to work. Anyway, we will have several speakers this afternoon, guiding your car into a parking space of a clean and healthy life! Please welcome our guests!"

[OOC: Each speaker will have their own thread, plus there will be a Q&A thread at the end of the post for them to ping into. Also, since it seems appropriate this time, there will be a thread for after the assembly to speak to the guests a bit more privately. Please wait to ask the speakers questions until the speakers have pinged in.

"Oh, good for you! I had an admirer, but it could have been way worse," she admitted, "also, if anyone asks, I didn't bake."

Peter gave a sage nod, as though she'd just told him the exact opposite. He tapped the side of his nose. "Got it. You were with me the whole time. I'm there for you."

Sam facepalmed. "No, seriously. Thanks for the alibi, though. Good to know it's there." Because, hey, who didn't need a spare alibi now and then?

"What are little brothers for?" Peter replied. His grin suggested he'd known the whole time that she hadn't done anything.

"Is that what they're for?" Sam teased. "Never had one before, so I'm a little behind the curve."

"Oh yeah," Peter said. "That and being smarter than you, but I'll try not to brag about it in your hearing."

Sam snickered. He could certainly try. "That's very sweet of you, Peter. Almost saintly."

"Do my best," Peter said. "So how's things going otherwise?"

"Pretty good. Didn't get detention this week, which was a nice change," she shrugged and brushed her hair out of her eyes. "What about you?"

"Okay I guess," Peter said. He gave a shrug. "Think maybe I'm too tired or something."

"Why do you think that?"

"I told you about my dreams, right?" Peter asked. "Why I jumped off the roof? Which I haven't done again, by the way."

"That's good, since last I checked, gravity was still in effect," Sam nodded, "and yeah, you told me."

"I've been - I dunno. Wondering about them." Peter raked a hand through his hair. "Wondering if they're what I thought they were."

Sam leaned over and lowered her voice. "What do you think they are?"

"Something bad, maybe?" Peter replied, lowering his voice as well. "I've been talking to - to some people and it's made me look at this in a new light."

"How so?"

"What if it's possession?" Peter asked. "Or... something not so exotic?"

"If it's possession, there are people here qualified to deal with that," Sam said quietly. "What kind of not exotic are we talking about here?"

"Like maybe I need to go back to a hospital not so exotic," Peter replied, looking like he hated to contemplate that.

"Are the dreams telling you to do things? Can you tell them from reality?" Sam asked, not that she had experience with this kind of thing or anything.

"They feel real when I have them," Peter said. "I don't feel like that when I wake up but... " Peter trailed off, grimacing.

"My nightmares feel real when I have them too," Sam said, "but that doesn't make them so. If you can tell when you wake up, I think you're just dreaming really, really vividly."

"They didn't feel like nightmares," Peter said. "It's just - "

He paused, glanced around to make sure nobody was listening, then leaned in again. "Yesterday I had this weird moment."
