Of course, just because she was worried sick didn't mean anyone had to miss class. She was in Film and Lit.

Rory took her seat behind the desk with a huge tumbler of coffee and began pulling together the books she'd nearly lost her eyesight to the day before.

Rory blinked and looked from the page back up at John. "These are engagement rings," she said slowly.

"I think this one's perfect," Rory said, nodding and pointing to the second ring. "But most of them look pretty much perfect. Are you serious about this?"

Not wanting to think about who would normally visit her at lunch and the ramifications of his absence, Rory worked straight through it.

But then she was back, and it was then that Rory actually checked her email.

Memories of being forced to rest and eat were prodding Rory into the idea that maybe a nap might be a good idea.

She decided that naps were for wusses, but sustenance was important, and thus ate a PowerBar.
