All around the room today were street signs that looked very realistic. So realistic, in fact, one might think that the teacher went out the night before and ran around stealing them from all over Fandom.

Which was just silly.

He stole them from the mainland.

"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign. Do this, don't do that. Can't you read the sign?" Wade deadpanned. "Today we're going to learn about why learning to read road signs is very, very important. Important in a way that actually matters, unlike other 'important' things like math or science. Knowing how to read signs will prevent you from doing stupid things like accidently driving off a bridge that was under construction and crashing into a zoo where you get knocked out of the car and land in a cage of angry leopards who haven't been fed all day and think you look like the best thing since small fuzzy bunnies." A pause. "Not that I've ever done that or anything."

He coughed. "Signs! Yes!" He stood and passed out a series of handouts.

(Man I love those wiki-things.)

"Any questions about the handouts can be directed toward me or my color coordinated minion."

Deadpool doesn't care, as long as he can't be blamed for it.

Cedric took notes and became more worried about driving a car. There were no signs to deal with when riding a broom.

Evie stared at all the handouts, and her hand shot up, waving frantically. "Professor Deadpool? Um. If we're taking our test for our Driver's License here in America, are the international road signs on the test too?"

"Nope, they're mostly the same things," Wade said. "Except of driving on the other side of the road. And things being measures in kilometers. Which is stupid, because everyone knows things are really supposed to be measured in miles."

Evie blinked. "What's a kilometer? Should I know this already?" She started looking at the handouts, flipping through frantically.

"It's how they measure things outside of America, so it doesn't matter in the slightest," Wade replied. "And who do they think they're kidding with those silly made up names like 'meter' or 'centimeter'? Not me, that's for sure."

(In America.)

"But, but, I might have to drive outside of the U.S. About ninety years ago. In England and Egypt and..." Evie bit her lip, looking lost. "You're quite certain it won't matter?"

(Ninety years ago? Sphincter says what?)

"Yes," Wade said slowly. "Completely certain."

"All right, Professor Deadpool. If you're sure." Evie still has a touching belief in the authority of teachers. "And will we be able to practice on Model T's and Model A's as well as newer cars?"

"Buh?"

Flying cars Wade could understand, but a Model T? You couldn't go 0 to 60 in whatever amount of seconds was supposed to be the best in that.

"Stop by my office tomorrow, I'll see what I can do."

"Huzzah! Thank you, Professor." Evie then went on to happily read the handouts and start outlining things that would probably be on a Driver's Test.

Okay, so it wasn't exactly a topic that required a lot of notes, but, for two particular reasons, Chad seemed really intent on sketching out examples of every single sign in his notebook today. Very important work. Can't be distracted. Must sketch signs to avoid any and all eye contact that might result in a return of the emo, extreme awkwardness, or an assault of impending ass-hattery.

No emo or awkwardness. Honestly. Because Jude was waaaaaaaay on the other side of the room and also concentrating diligently on his notes. Notes. That's what he was concentrating on. Honest.

Door's taking notes. And absolutely not wondering what might happen if she's driving down some road at however many miles per hour Americans think is fast, and technology suddenly decides to start treating her the way it usually treats people from the Underside.

Good thing she doesn't kow about power-brakes yet, or she'd actually be nervous instead of just contemplative.

Z doodled in her notebook and totally pretended to be paying attention.
