((For the newbies: The lunch post is for students to gather and chat between 4th and 5th period. Yes, the Chef is a muppet and he has muppet chickens helping him with the cooking. The food is safe...mostly. I'll leave an OOC note if he accidentally leaves a sock in his cake batter or anything. "So do the votes count if I get them?" Marco asked as he sat down with his tray.

Turtle looked up at Marco for a second before answering. "Well, I suppose I dont' see why they shouldn't," she said, although her voice suggested that she didn't really like the idea. "Why? Have you gotten any?"

Marco took out a crumpled napkin. "One. From Annette."

Turtle took the napkin and eyed it carefully. "And what were the terms in which this napkin was signed?"

"We were talking. She wrote it. My mun can't find the link." Marco pouted.

Turtle nodded. "Right, but what did you tell her about the bet? Were you all, 'hey, write this out because I said so,' or did you explain to her the conditions of the situation?"

Marco rolled his eyes. "I told her about the bet and she volunteered to write a note, I didn't even ask her."

Turtle nodded. "Excellent. I'll definately add Annette's contribution to the poll, and possibly look into some nice crazy-people hospitals for her." She stuck her tongue out at Marco, but she was grinning.

Marco stuck his tongue back at her. "It's not my fault I attract the pretty girls!"

"My petition has two more pretty girls than your napkin, at the moment, so don't start getting too cocky."

Marco pouted. "We'll see."

Turtle met Marco's pout with a slightly malicious grin as she chomped into a french fry. "Oh, yes. That we will."

And then, seeing that they'd exhausted that conversation (there was, after all, only so much that could be said about a situation as simple as 'Turtle's right'), Turtle asked, "What kinda classes ya got today? I've already had my fairy tale class, and I got ethics after lunch."

"We're in ethics together, and I can't decide if the radio guy was being sarcastic or not. And I'm in pop culture. I haven't actually bothered to check what other classes I have."

"Haven't actually bothered? What, are you trying the 'live my life by the day' thing?" Turtle tilted her head a little. "And I've heard some stuff about the ethics teacher, too, that he's really scary and wears a lot of black. So I've prepped myself not to be shocked by anything." She nodded firmly to confirm that point.

"No bringing CD player to class, got it. And nah, just not a school type of person."

"Ah," Turtle nodded. "I can get that. But it's not like the class scheduals seem real rigerous or anything like that. I don't even have any classes tomorrow. That's gonna be weird...nice, don't get me wrong. But definately weird."

"I have Wednesdays and Fridays off, which is going to rock."

"Wednesdays off are good," Turtle said with a nod, and then a grin. "Gives you no excuse to not come visit me at work."

You know, and increase her customer to profit ratio.

"You work?" Marco looked scandalized.

"Of course I do," Turtle looked confused. "You can't become the richest woman in the world by sitting on your butt all day."

"Yeah you can, and hey, that's my plan!"

Turtle bit her lip, face turning a little pink from the effort not to laugh and to keep a straight face as she asked, "You wanna be the richest woman in the world, Marco? Or should I call you Marcia now?"

"You know what I meant!" Marco flailed. "And I'll settle for just being rich."

"Well, Marcia," Turtle wagged a french fry at him, "the only way to get rich and not work hard is sheer dumb luck."

"My plan is more along the lines of 'sell my fascinating life story to Hollywood for a lot of money'. Sadly, I'm lacking in the sheer dumb luck category." Marco reached over to steal the wagging french fry.
