[OOC: Trying to retcon the "interesting book Prof. Methos gave her" in your entry... any idea what I've given you?]

OOC: Gods, no clue. Been trying to think of something good, and all I can think of is the Book of the Dead. But she took Indo European and Classics, so that's a no go.
What else do we have?

Sir?
I have a homework assignment, and have no idea where to start.

I'm supposed to come up with "two classical works concerning Celts" for Professor Camulus.
What is considered "classical" on this planet? He said something about Greece and Rome. Who are they?
no subject
Greece and Rome are nations and cultures, not people.
To be quite honest, I can't imagine that there are any classical Greek writings on the Celts.
One could only expect an off-planet teacher to not have a firm grasp of relitive timelines of Earth. However, one of the most famous early works on them is Julius Caeser's History of the Gaulic Wars.[OOC: Yes, the mun knows this off the top of her head.]

Is there a second?
*looks hopeful*

Try Diodorus.

Sir, I'm semi-literate with your alphabet and before Monday had never even touched a real paper book.
*calms. politepolitepolite.*
Your help is much appreciated, but I don't have any idea what I'm doing. You give me names, but where do I find them?
I ain't stupid. I'm just having culture shock.

[OOC: Of course, mun would be hurrying to figure it out for you... what do you (IC) need?]

I'm not asking you to do my homework. All I'm asking is for you to write the names down for me so I can find them. English spelling is very weird.
*flips through card catalogue*
*Looks at card and puzzles it out*
Okay, I think I understand how this works. Physical version of a StelNet search.
[[ooc: mun is a librarian, too. playing dense is great fun. Han just needs a couple of sources on Celts for 110.]]

Here *writes down names*. Match the first letter of the name in the card catalog, and then the second, and so on. Luckily, both "Caeser" and "Diodorus" are near the beginning of the alphabet.
*beat*
You do know the alphabet, right?

I can read, it's just your alphabet and spelling are new. Still getting the hang of them.
See *writes on a piece of scrap paper* this is what I'd be looking for at home.
I think I can handle this, sir. Thank you.
