Chad grabbed a lot of everything, as usual, and had a seat.

Yes, he was wearing bunny ears that matched his pink shirt, but he didn't seem to notice much.

Mac was actually just intending to leave as soon as she realised there wasn't really anything she wanted to eat here today. Somehow the sight of Chad in bunny ears made her stop and re-think that decision.

Instead she sat down opposite him, and tried not to grin too broadly. "What's the occasion?"

Chad's head tilted, causing the ears to flop slightly. "I was hungry," he answered. What other occation would bring someone to a cafeteria?

"Right," Mac nodded. "That explains the food mountain for me."

"What about these?" She asked, leaning over to flick the end of a pink bunny ear.

"Oh," Chad had forgotten they were there again. They usually only became a problem with doorways, but sometimes doorways were just a problem anyway. "Those are because my overlord is unobservant."

Yes, he realized that probably didn't explain much. Mmm, pizza.

"Oh." Mac arched an eyebrow, and nodded slowly. Not that she understands at all, she just feels like she should.

"That..." She paused trying to figure out what she has been intending to say. Then decided she might as well admit her ignorance, "Yeah, I don't get that."

"I lost to Nadia in the Great World Religion Popcorn War," Chad said, explaining, "and these were a part of the treaty of surrender. But she missed it when I first wore 'em, so I agreed to do it again."

"You lost at popcorn war?" Mac sighed and shook her head in mock disappointment. "I'd a thought you'd have been able to reign supreme at that kinda thing."

Chad, too, sadly shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. Nadia, you see...she had a rubber band."

"Oh, now that's just not cricket," Mac responded. She didn't even try for the Australian accent, because that would've been plain embarassing. "Using unfair advantages that is."

The bunny ears bobbed as Chad nodded his head. "What a bully. Starting a war, knowing she had better weapons."

"At least you now know for next time, and can use your sneaky advantage to rule over the world of popcorn flinging, and Nadia will have to bow to your supremacy," Mac said with a grin. "It'd probably be fun, actually."

Mac's cute little sentiment about the matter made Chad grin a little, too. "An' we can make her walk around in pink and bunny ears." Although, what Chad had in mind was much, much different than his pink Hawaiian shirt. Much different.

"Well, yeah, you could do that," Mac said giving that statement a moment to sink in. There was a possibility her mind went the same way as Chad's, but she didn't actually vocalise it.

"Or you could make her wear kitty ears, just to ring the changes," she said with a shrug.

Chad didn't say anything to that, but the distractedly pensive look on his face should tell Mac that he definately thought that was a feasible alternative.

"All you need to do now, is to challenge her to a re-match," Mac said. "'Cause if you don't put your plans into action, what good are they, really?"

Chad scratched his eyebrow a moment. "Think it should be a sneak attack? Or a planned rematch?"

"I'm thinking, that if you want a tactical advantage, that a sneak attack is the better choice," Mac decided. "She fought dirty the first time, then I think you're totally entitled to do it this time."

"That's very true," Chad said, with a thoughtful grunt, wheels in his head starting to pull into motion.

"You formulated a proper plan of attack yet?" Mac may be getting a little too in to this whole popcorn wars idea.

... What? She does this kind of thing with her espresso beans, it should be expected.

"Um, no. Not yet. But I will." It would just take him a while. He was kinda slow with stuff like this.

"If you think about it too long, this'll be on the radio tonight, and the surprise will be ruined," Mac warned him. "Just remember that."

Chad grunted, his mouth twisting a bit in troubled comisseration. "That's a good point..."

"...but when we get right down to it, I don't even have any popcorn."

"You could improvise?" Mac suggested. "Might even find there's a better substitute." She thought for a moment, "Like peanuts, or malteasers... or raisins or something."

"Popcorn's nice, though, 'cause there's no way they could hurt someone."

Well, if you got it in someone's eye, maybe, but even then, it was unlikely blinding.
