"Good afternoon, everybody," Peter said with a grin as the group assembled.  "Hopefully everyone's recovered from the colourless weekend and no one else has turned into a puppet man?"  He may have looked far too amused at the last.

"Today I thought we could start having those of us who have studied for a while demonstrate their particular style of swordwork for everyone else.  Then we all have a bit of familiarity with each other's forms and perhaps see how they'd mesh.  Perhaps one demonstration a week for a while until we either run out of volunteers or there's something else that catches everyone's interest.  For today, Sakuazaki," he bowed to her, "has agreed to demonstrate her bladework for us."

"After that, we can pair up and work out or spar as the mood takes us.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, let me or Hamlet know.  If you'd like to volunteer to demonstrate your style, let me know as well."

[OOC: If your character would prefer to be asked to demonstrate, ping me in the OOC thread, and Peter will be happy to solicit their help.  After the demonstration, pair off as you like and chatter or spar as you wish.  Wait for the OCD, please. is up!]

Pausing in his excercise, Zuko gave Peter a short bow. "Anything the matter?"

"Not at all," Peter replied with return bow. "I just was hoping to talk with you for a moment when you're done training."

"I don't want to interrupt too badly," Peter said with a smile. "But I wanted to ask a favour of you - I was hoping you'd agree to demonstrate your dual swords next week for the group."

Zuko looked a bit baffled at being asked to demonstrate, but quickly recovered. "I believe I can manage that."

Peter nodded. "Thank you very much." He grinned. "You looked startled for a moment. I didn't particularly mean to do so."

Joxer grabbed his sword and started his usual method of practicing.

Overly dramatic fencing with people who weren't actually there.

"Joxer?" Parker's smirk wasn't entirely pleasant. "You up for a real match?"

"Special. Thank you so much for agreeing." Parker raised her cane sword in a salute. "You can attack. En guarde."

Joxer looked at Parker's sword. "That thing is tiny," he said. "You know, size does matter." He held up his broad sword.

"Only if you know what you're doing, Joxer." She looked speculatively at his weapon. "I assume it's blunted? If it isn't, I can borrow a sharper blade. No reason to destroy my practice weapon."

Billy closed his eyes and began going through a sword practice, making sure to first stand away from the others so he didnt' accidentily hit someone.

Setsuna hung around after her demonstration, a little worried that someone might take poorly to her demonstration and challenge her over it. She was okay in demonstrating, but if there was a fallout from it, she probably wouldn't be so all right.

Alanna's smirk definitely had overtones of her daughter, instead of the other way around. It made Parker wonder what she was up to. "Good evening?" she said, cautious.

"Fancy a spar?" Alanna was just in a good mood. Faithful looked like he was planning to take over the world.

Joxer hadn't been any kind of challenge, so Parker shrugs. "Sure. I'm in a rotten mood. Fair warning." She smirked at Faithful. "Caught your show this afternoon."

Parker put her sword up in the guard position, taking this a lot more seriously than she had Joxer's attempts. "And congrats on being President, by the way." She waited, watching Alanna's eyes, but also her torso, liked she'd told Parker to do.
