School Assembly, Friday Afternoon, The Auditorium

After watching the crowd gather and encouraging them to settle down long enough to listen to people talk, The Tick began to speak.

"Welcome, students and faculty, to our first assembly of the year! We'll be doing these to help impart something to our students. Give them advice, entertainment, and something worthwhile to do on a Friday afternoon!"

"Today you'll be getting advice from several speakers. They are motivational speakers, people who speak and give advice to help you better yourself! They are the tops in their individual fields, respective Everests, and this assemply is your sherpa, helping you scale that mountain to a better you!"

"Some of today's speakers are professional motivational speakers! Some are fellow students with some special advice! And one is a local business owner just looking to help out!"

"I think it's about time to let them do their jobs now. Please give the speakers your undivided attention and have some fun!"

[OOC: Each speaker will have their own thread, plus there will be a Q&A thread at the end of the post for them to ping into. Please wait to ask the speakers questions until the speakers have pinged in.

Jaye's here. Not with popcorn, though. Gummi bears.

Jamie sits next to Jaye with a bag of popcorn.

"Ammunition or snacking?" he asked nodding toward the Gummi Bears.

"Very possibly both," she says. "Depends on how bad they suck."

"Are we using any criteria or guidlines on their suckage?" Jamie asked. "Or are we just heaving ho on anything remotely reaching the level of crap?"

"We are just kind of going with the moment," says Jaye. "If I feel like hurling a gummy bear, nothing will stop me. I might start throwing as soon as they open their mouths."

"Should we aim for their mouths? Or do we want to feed these people? They want to stick around longer if we feed them," Jamie said thoughtfully.

Jaye shakes her head. "Aim for right between the eyes."

Jamie give her a thumbs up. "Can do boss."

Sam took a seat by Jaye and Jamie, figuring that if there was a black hole formed by snark, it would be better to be sucked into it right away than be a survivor. "Hey, guys. So, anyone bring rotten tomatoes?"

"Those might get noticed," Jaye says. "So I have gummi bears. I'd offer one, but it's ammo."

"Totally understandable." Sam was all about conserving ammo for maximum strategic effect. "So, I thought the problem the administration had was that we were too motivated?"

"I think that only counts when people are landing in clinics," she says. "The rest of us are dirty slackers. Woo."

"You and Jack," Sam snickered. "But you spend a lot less time injured, thus proving your intelligence."

"Yeah, there's something about getting bloody and unconscious that doesn't appeal to me," Jaye says, shrugging. "I'm weird like that."

Sam shook her head and clicked her tongue. "You have no idea what you're missing."

"Internal bleeding? Head trauma?"

"Really good drugs."

"But I can make up for it with vodka," Jaye points out.
