Detention, The Danger Shop, 09.08.06

When the students walked into the shop, they would see The Tick standing at a podium that probably looked vaguely futuristic back in the mid-1990's: a rounded white plastic frame and clear plexiglass. There were lights and smoke in the background. Behind Tick was a large sign with the following names listed:

Teddy Altman
Seely Booth
John Connor
Hikaru Hitachiin
Kaoru Hitachiin
Jude Lizowski
Jamie Madrox
Peter Pevensie
Setsuna Sakurazaki
Ranma Saotome
River Tam
Naomi Wildman

When everyone was in the shop, the Tick pushed a button on the Danger Shop remote and spotlights started swinging around.

"Hello, detentioned students! I am The Tick, and I'm not only your Dean of Students, but today I am also your host for Detention Gladiators!" Tick stayed silent as a vaguely patriotic-sounding theme song played for thirty seconds.

"Today you'll be competing in four challenges that will test your mind, body, heart, and ability to think like a crazy person! Hopefully by the end of our time together you'll have learned your lesson - or in Naomi's case set a positive example since she did nothing wrong - and will be ready to move on to the next phase of your lives, without rule breaking!"

"And remember, the Shop is set up with extensive safety protocols! You're completely safe! Explosions won't be real, brutes won't actually hit hard, and the sheer power of the criminal mind won't overwhelm you!"

"SPOOOON!"

[OOC: You do not need to know who any of the hologram NPCs are, but you might enjoy it more if you do. Here's some info on them. This should be crack crack crack and more crack, for the record. Detention will run from approximately 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST, but you're free to go when you've completed all of the tasks. If it takes longer, I'm fine playing longer if you are. :)

I'll be around all day and available on AIM if you need to talk to me: bugofjustice.]

Willow poked her head in cautiously and waved to Peter.

Peter waved back with a smile and stood up to go over to her.

Willow pretended to look sneaky. "Shh. I brought you a file."

She held up a file folder.

She was funny like that sometimes.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter looked at her and started laughing.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow grinned proudly. "I thought you might like that."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter pulled her into a hug. "You're brilliant. I'm happy to see you."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow hugged back. "I'm happy to see you too. It's very nice of Mr. Tick to allow visits."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"It is very nice. Also, so far I have had to hit a cow with a cotton swab so I can't really argue," Peter said with a grin.

"Did it need help with its makeup?" Willow asked, confused.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh yes," Peter said with a straight face. "I am excellent at makeup application."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's one of your many hidden skills," Willow said with a grin.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Please don't let it get out. I think the other would mock me," Peter said, still straight-faced..

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow nudged him with her hip. "I would think by now you'd know I'm very good at keeping secrets."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter pretended to consider. "I suppose then." He grinned.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good," Willow snuck a quick kiss. "I brought you cookies."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really?" Peter asked, sneaking a kiss back.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why would I lie about cookies?" Willow asked, sneaking yet another kiss in return.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"It was a surprised really and not a disbelieving really," Peter explained with a nod.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"Understandable then," Willow said. She held up a Ziploc bag with chocolate chip cookies. "Here you go. All for you minus one for Jamie."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter kissed her again before taking the cookies. "Thank you so very, very very, very much."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're here because of me," Willow said. "It's the least I can do."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's hardly your fault," Peter said, frowning.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"My line of reasoning gets you cookies," Willow pointed out, dangling the bag in front of him.

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter considered. "True, but as long as there's no blame attached."

Re: Lunch

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"It was more of a 'Oo, my guy defended my honor' kind of a thing," Willow assured him.
