Energy and Fitness Week 1: Friday (First Period)

The class room was sparse just a plain desk, no posters on the walls or anything. Just the black board up in the front with the name of the class and instructions to sign in and be seated until the teacher returned and further instructions for the TA's to pass out the syllabus.

A few minutes passed.... then about fifteen minutes passed. Just about the time when people were probably thinking about leaving, Yondaime appeared in the doorway in a puff of smoke and walked in with a smile. "Sorry for being late," he said with no further explanation as to his lateness, moving to the front of the class and looking everyone over for a moment.

"Welcome to Energy and Fitness. I am your instructor, Yondaime. You may call me sensei, Yondaime, or any combination thereof if you want me to respond." He paused a moment, looking like he'd lost his train of thought. "So! Yes, this class, as the syllabus says, will cover quite a few things, but mostly how to enhance your body's natural energies to be able to do some amazing things." A grin spread on the blond's face. "Like so," he said as he held a hand up to his face and was suddenly at the back of the classroom behind everyone.

"Granted, that's something a little higher level than what I'll be teaching here, but I'm sure you get the idea." He shrugged and returned to the front of the classroom the normal way; by walking. "This is going to be an action orientated class, so we will be outdoors most of the time, though I'm still not sure where..." Yondaime said thoughtfully, tapping his chin as he trailed off in thought. "But I'll let you know where we're going to be every week." He shrugged.

"Today's class is going to be very simple; we're only introducing ourselves so we all get to know each other, and I'll answer any questions you have about the syllabus. Please go easy on me though. It's been a really long time since I taught this many students." He laughed nervously.

"So I'd really like to get to know all of you." He smiled "Please tell me your name, age, likes, dislikes and your dreams for the future. I'll even go first."

He cleared his throat. "Ahem, you can call me Yondaime, I'm older than all of you are, there are a lot of things that I like and a lot that I don't. I don't really have many dreams for the future though I am hoping to learn a new recipe for miso mackerel."

"I'm Togusa Hyoshi. I'm 16." He thought a moment. "I like computers, people watching and am what you might call a project for my future employers at Section 9. I hope to live up to thier expectations."

Yondaime nodded as he listened to Togusa's introduction making a point to remember at least one thing about everyone besides their name. "A project?" He chuckled in a very easy going way. "That's very interesting."

"Um," Demyx shrugged. "I'm Demyx, and I should be older than I am now but for some reason when I was brought back to life I was younger. But anyway, I like music, the color blue, Axel, Roxas, Anders, and sex. Not necessarily in that order, but you get the picture." He grinned, poking at a water-created music note that hovered around his head. "In the future, I want to have a heart."

The ninja felt his face flush a little at the boy's blunt answers and patted him on the shoulder. "Ahh well.. a.. having a heart is a very good aspiration to have."

"My name's Alphonse Elric," he began. "I'm fourteen, and I, um... like to read, I guess. I can't really think of anything I dislike at the top of my head, and as for my dreams? I'm just hoping to get better at what I like to do and use it to benefit myself and others in the future."

"Good answer," he smiled brightly.

Skif stood up, glancing around at the students and Yondaime. "I'm Skif. Sixteen. I like causing trouble but I hate getting caught, I'm a TA for this class - whatever that means, really - and I'm going to be a Herald in the future."

He paused, then added. "And I think our instructor should set a better example and answer his own questions properly."

"My name is Setsuna Sakurazaki," she said, "and I am fifteen years old. I like swordfighting, Japanese history, and cute, blonde skater boys." Promptly, her face turned bright red; true, she'd been thinking that, but she didn't mean to say it. Quickly, she moved on to keep from flailing. "I really dislike it when I say something I didn't mean to!" Palm met face. "And my hopes for the future is that I'm able to refrain from doing something like this again."

Weren't introductions the easy part of class? But thank God she didn't screw up like that in her other classes so far. She had a feeling she didn't have to be so stern and serious to impress Yondaime-sensei like she would Aly-sensei or Admiral Harrington.

"Edward Elric," Edward said without getting up from his desk. "I'm, uh..." He actually had to stop and count on his fingers. "I'm 16 now, and before anyone asks, I'm Al's OLDER brother. I like kicking ass and taking names and using my skills as a dog of the military to help people."

"I hate the military, Mustangs, and people who use the weak to their own advantage. Oh, and people who call me short. Because I sure as hell ain't. Don't got any dreams, although I've got goals though for now they're out of reach."

"Veruca Cally, just call me Cally. I'm seventeen. I like flossing, getting my hands dirty, and helping people. I dislike, no, hate hate hate people leaving without saying goodbye. As for the future, I'm going into the Colonial Fleet for a year so afterwards I can go to dental school."

Anders was still a little red in the face from Demyx's answer. Okay, a lot. "Samuel T. Anders, and don't ask me what the T. stands for and don't call me Samuel, Sam, or Sammy. I'm just Anders. Please. I like Pyramid, baseball, cupcakes, um . . . a lot of things. I don't like not being taken seriously. And I just want to play professional Pyramid, or maybe baseball if I don't go home after school."

"Um, I'm Dean Forrester. I'm 16. I like reading, playing basketball and hockey, music, and building things. I dislike...uh. Math. My dreams for the future? I don't know, I kinda need to figure that out still, I guess," he said, hoping he didn't sound too lame.

"Uh, I'm Jim. Ellison. I'm 16, I like guns, explosions, and girls, I don't like neo-hippie witchdoctor punks most other people, and I want to join the military when I'm out of school."

He hoped that would be enough, considering the brevity of the teacher's answer.

HIIIIIIIIII!!! *waves* This is gonna be uuuuuber slow play if you expect to hear from me. ^^;; I sadly have work from 7:30 - 4:00 pst and the work comps have a ban on LJ. So any responses have to wait til I get home!! ;;-;; But I will respond ASAP!
