Not being able to stay away one more minute, Yomiko had collected the library key from the office skeletons, narrowly avoiding freaking out all over the place. Really, skeletons? What kind of place was this? She unlocked the library and peeked inside. "Hello? Is anybody...oohhhhh..."

And then she was off, wandering through the stacks like a kid in a candy store.

((The library is open! Come meet the new librarian. No OCD, as it is still summer, la.))

"It's 2006 right now," Willow confirmed, adding, "August." in case that helped.

"Summer?" he asked as it had been hot outside.

"Yep, August is summer here," Willow said. "We're going to start heading into fall in a few weeks."

He nodded, hopefully he wouldn't have to stick around until winter. Yes, he was talkative.

"If you ever need help with the culture shock feel free to come find me," Willow said. "I know it can be a lot."

"It is," Zuko had to agree. "This world is strange."

"Just wait 'til you meet the jello dragons."

Dragons he knew of. "Jello?"

"Clear dessert that tastes like fruit and is all wiggly," Willow explained.

"Does it make you forget who you are?" Zuko was a bit suspicious about food now.

"No," Willow said. "But we've had stuff like that happen here too."

"That is what Pippilongstocking said too. I don't see how food can make you forget who you are," Zuko was pretty stubborn about this one.

"Do you have medicine or magic in your world?" Willow asked.

"We have medicine," Zuko said. He didn't really believe in the whole magic thing even if that Alanna girl had been sure she was able to do it.

"Okay," Willow said, taking that as her starting point. "Do you have medicines that make people sleepy? Or that make pain go away?"

"Yes."

"So you can imagine a medicine that takes someone's memory away," Willow said.

"I suppose so," Zuko said slowly.

"It takes getting used to," Willow assured him.

"I'll adapt," he told her, sounding sure of it.

"That's the spirit," Willow said with a smile. "Anyway my mun's almost done at work I should go. It was very nice meeting you!"

Zuko nodded and wandered off to find someone who did work here.
