Flight and Flying [Friday morning]

When the flight workshop arrived at the shed, they found it locked up tight and Anakin leaning up against it.

Wearing a beanie.

And a sullen expression, but that was kind of a given.

"For our last class," he said, "we're going to fly helicopters. The pilot's waiting for us over at Selkie Cove. Come grab a hat--and no, they're not optional--and then we'll head over together."

He even had one Faithful-sized. Anakin was thorough.

You know the drill by now!

Anakin, much to the pilot's annoyance, immediately took over the instruction of how to fly the helicopter. After a quick but comprehensive overview of how the machine worked, the ~~totally modable~~ pilot was ready to take the students up on their own flights.

While waiting for the helicopter to come back. Compliment each other on your fetching hats, etc.

*sniffle* Say goodbye, if you'd like.

You still have to wear the hats, though.

Don't wanna go.

/channeling the whiner.

Bridge signs in, and happily dons the beanie. Dork.

Molly signed in and took a beanie, switching from the hat she wore to class with a grin.

Zack signed in, and took a beanie.

Zack was totally calm as he went up in the helicopter.

Really.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Anakin, safely on the ground, was chanting something a bit like "please don't crash" under his breath.

At least down here he could catch the students using the Force if it became absolutely necessary.

His eyes watched the sky. That wasn't an entirely comforting thought to him.

On an amusing sidenote, after starting to joke that every usage of the NOOOOOO! means $20 to Anakin's wantastic breakdown, it made it into my sister's drama showcase. Sharing the love, one arts school at a time.

*dead of giggles*

Jude signed in, already looking sullen and, if possible, a little pissed off. He actually cheered up when he took the beanie.

Alanna signed in and grinned as she put a hat on Faithful. Faithful glared.

Jude was starting to cheer up as he took the helicopter up.

Totally not imagining Mike Dint in the rotorblades. Nope. Not Jude.

Whee, flying! As long as he didn't think about that one scene in Boardwarriors II, with the helicopter and the dude and the fiery explosion . . .

Jude would like to say goodbye.

And apologise.

Because Mace Windu is one baaaaad mother -

"Dude? Er, sir . . ."

Bridge might be bouncing in his seat as he takes the helicopter up.

"Yes, Jude?" Anakin asked.

Alanna...well, suprisingly she has not such a bad time controlling the helicopter.

"You leaving?" Alanna asked bluntly.

Yawning and carrying a very large cup of coffee, Dean signed in. He grimaced as he took a beanie but was too tired to argue the point.

"'m sorry for the skateboarding through your cool temple and stuff," he muttered quickly, scuffing at the ground with his toe. "Hope ya didn't get in too much toruble 'cause of me . . ."

"Nice work," Anakin said, smiling when Alanna came back out of the helicopter.

"No bouncing," Anakin called over the roar of the rotors. "It'll mess up the instruments!"
