Rory bounced into the library bright and early on Tuesday, sipping at her third cup of coffee as she took her place behind the desk and curled up with a book of Sylvia Plath's essays.

"Yeah, I'm surprised she didn't hunt him down later," Angela said. "I guess the gremlins are back, or something. Or maybe this is just weird season."

"I don't have any bites," Rory said, worrying her lip with her teeth. "Maybe it's like how we were all wee?"

"Me either, so you're probably right," Angela agreed, slightly discomfited by the thought. "Being wee was more fun. Wonder if that'll happen again?"

"It's Fandom." Rory shrugged. "Probably will. Hope nothing happens on Friday, in any case."

"What's Friday?" Angela asked. "I know it's a special event, but I forget which one."

"The fashion show," Rory said. "I'm running it. Hopefully we won't have fairies possessing people and Sam won't knock out the power or something. I need models, though."

She shot an oh-so sly glance at Angela. "You know, if someone wanted to be awesome and be a model."

"No fairies," Angela shuddered, running a hand over her chin. "You really wannt me to model?"

"You'd be good at it!" Rory said brightly. "I'd model myself but I have to run the whole thing. And you probably won't have to wear anything too weird."

"I did it for this thing for my mom before," Angela said, still mulling the idea over. "Okay. Nothing too weird, and I'll do it."

"Yay!" Rory said happily. "And there will be pretty boys in pretty clothes there. Yay for perks."

"Perks are a happy thing," Angela agreed. "And yay pretty boys." She smiled. "Did you kiss Alec at the fair Friday?"

"No," Rory said, slightly sadly. "Did you?"

Angela nodded happily. "I made Marty let me," she said. "He kissed Chloe too. Anyhow, it was definitely worth more than a dollar."

"I'm jealous," Rory pouted. "I didn't think it was probably worth the drama, considering I told Alec that I'd never had a one-night stand at a party and someone reacted by getting very drunk and annoyed. Pff. Boys are dumb."

"See, I would think someone would be, like, happy to know you aren't the one-night-stand type," Angela said. "Boys are strange."

"Well, it was more that Alec said he could fix that," Rory admitted, blushing. "But I did get to see Alec dance half-naked onstage at Caritas at Jarod's birthday party. That's something."

"Still, unless you take him up on the offer...," Angela mused, also blushing a litle. "Anyhow. I'm jealous I missed Jarod's party. Wonder when the next big birthday thing will be?"

"Well, we've got three months till mine, so surely someone has a birthday before then," Rory mused, trying to remember her friends' birthdays.

Angela thought about it. "Yours is October, mine was April, Zero and Marty were both July, Parker was January, Jaye was last spring, so were Nadia and Molly," she said. "Cam, maybe? I don't think he's had a birthday, unless it was before I got to know him. We should ask Molly or someone."

Rory nodded. "And John and Aeryn were both in the spring, as was Logan's and Jakey's too. Maybe one of the new kids?"

"Maybe," Angela shrugged. "And if not? I'm sure we'll find some other reason for a party. I should go to Xander Harris's class, anyhow."

"Scoobying!" Rory said happily. "Did you guys do the kidnapping scenario yet?"

"Two weeks ago," Angela nodded. "I was very wiley and escaped from Marie D'Ancanto. I think a real kidnapper would be meaner."

"I sucked. I kidnapped Hermione Granger. She escaped, mostly because I didn't want to hurt her wrists by taping her too hard," Rory admitted. "And yeah, real kidnappers are meaner. At least, the only one I've ever dealt with was." She made a face. "It's a fun exercise, though. And just a fun class in general."

"I talked Marie into letting me up so I could show her where the treasure was and then ran away," Angela explained. "It was fun."
