Rory bounced into the library bright and early on Tuesday, sipping at her third cup of coffee as she took her place behind the desk and curled up with a book of Sylvia Plath's essays.

"I'm sure they do," he says and shrugs. "Just none that I've ever been to. Greg got into an argument with a young girl as well."

"How young?" Rory asked, unsurprised. "Our age?"

"Younger," he says.

"Shocking," Rory sighed. "He's so weird. Did Jack fall in on purpose?"

"He was laughing after Parker fell in," Cedric says. "So, she pulled him. And then I laughed."

"Parker fell it?" Rory snickered. "I have a hard enough time picturing her camping, let alone falling in."

"She did," says Cedric. "And her morning persona is quite not morning friendly."

"She's evil in the morning," Rory said solemnly. "I used to live with her."

"Really?" He laughs at that. "She doesn't seem like the roommate type."

"She has a suite. I was in her spare room," Rory amended. "And I was playing on her sympathies at the time. But she's still a difficult person to live with."

"No slumber parties, I'm guessing?"

"Well, at the time, her boyfriend had both rooms bugged and then we got him thrown out of school, so not exactly, no."

"Bugged?"

Rory recalled for a moment how Professor Skeeter had had difficulties with the same word, and explained, "He had recording devices hidden in both rooms. Cameras, microphones, that kind of thing."

He frowns severely. "Why would he do that? That's quite an invasion of someone's privacy, relationship or not."

"I don't know. But he got kicked out. He was my friend's roommate, and he says all his stuff was just...gone." Rory shook her head. "We have no idea what happened to him."

"Hopefully he's learned his lesson," Cedric says and shrugs one shoulder. "Anyway, I was hoping to find a book on current military weaponry."

"This military? Any particular branch?" she asked, rolling her chair to the computer.

"Hmm. All of them?"

"Works." Rory punched in a few things and then scribbled something down. "Over there in the 630s," she said, holding out the slip of paper. "Want me to go with you, or think you'll survive on your own?"

"I've taken enough of your time," Cedric says, taking the slip. "I thank you for talking with me."

"Hardly a problem," Rory said with a grin.
