Angela believed it was very important she familiarize herself with the contents of the library before any new librarian was hired.

For example, she hadn't spent much time in the A/V room during the school year. And the second season of Vanessa Saturn had just come in on DVD, and Angela really wanted to find out who sank the yacht for the class trip.

So until someone came in to interrupt, Angela was watching a teen-chick-detective marathon on the computer at the counter.

"Fate worse than death," Angela said. Then, reflectively, "Though staying here more than a year might be nice."

"What? You mean like after college?" Marty asked.

"I'm not sure," Angela said. "Maybe." She snuggled against his shoulder, not really wanting to tallk about it. "Let's just watch the show."
