Festivus in July, Fandom High front lawn, Friday afternoon

Sometime during morning workshops, when no one was paying nearly enough attention except those concerned, the Fandom High schoolgrounds had filled with snow.

For the record, "those concerned" meant Rory Gilmore and several dozen snow cone distributors from the mainland. But who wants to ruin the illusion? Students who were curious might assume that it was simply a Festivus in July miracle, or some such.

In the middle of the lawn stood a bare, aluminum pole. Festivus tradition, you know.

[Yes, the schoolgrounds have snow. I'm weathermodding and saying it's cool enough today through this evening for it to stick, and it'll melt overnight. And yes, we're having Festivus in July. For those not in the know, here is a handy Wiki link! Please wait for OCD. Up, yay!]

"That too," Willow agreed, and closed the distance to give him a lingering kiss.

Peter kissed her back, sighing happily. "I think it worked out quite well."

"Me too," Willow said, stealing more kisses as she spoke. "Very much. It's getting better all the time, actually."

Wrapping his arms around her to keep her close, Peter kissed her back. "Which can only be a good thing."

Willow put her hands on either side of his head to keep her balance. "A very good thing. It's all thanks to my knight. I'm slowly running out of grievances."

She kissed him again.

"Obviously I have some making up to do," Peter said, mock-sadly. "But these things must be done."

"You're so dedicated to your duty," Willow said with a smile. She nibbled his lower lip.

"How can I not be?" he asked. "With such impetus here." His hands tightened on her waist even as he 'mm'd' in response.

"Good deeds should be rewarded," Willow said. She deepened the kiss.

Peter wasn't arguing with that. And he'd tell her about how he was not arguing except that the prospect of kissing her more was far more important.

Willow definitely agreed with this. Kissing was much more fun than arguing or talking or even noticing that they were currently lying down in the snow.

The slowly melting snow was completely disregarded as was the fact that they were surrounded by their classmates. Peter nibbled her lower lip slightly.

Willow made a surprised and happy sound, snuggling closer in response.

Peter wrapped his arms more tightly around her, one sliding to the back of his neck as he continued the kiss.

That got a happy "Mm!" out of her. She moved her hands to rest on his shoulders, kneading them absently as they kissed.

Which resulted in a "Mmph" from Peter even as the wet from the snow slowly melted through his clothes and reminded him where they were. He couldn't care less about the snow, but the other students were a horse of a different colour. He ended the kiss a regretfully, pulling the slightest bit away.

Somewhere in Willow's otherwise heated mind was the memory of where they were as well, so Willow understood why he pulled away, even if she felt the regret too.

She looked up at Peter through her lashes, looking both happy and very shy.

Peter looked back at her, eyes shining. He gave her a small, chaste kiss then smiled.

Willow melted - not literally - and rest her head against his chest, smiling quite happily.

Peter stroked her hair, lifting his head up to kiss the top of her head. He was perfectly comfortable staying like that for quite a while.

So was Willow. Her fingers traced small, random circles on his chest as she ducked her head in a vague attempt to control her blushing.

"We didn't get hit by any snowballs," Peter whispered. "So no need for blushing."

Re: Non-Festivus things

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Not why I'm blushing," Willow murmured against his chest.

Peter shivered slightly at the feel of that, his hand rubbing her back. "Why then?" he asked.

Willow felt shyer than usual. "Because I'm very happy," she replied, softly.
