Rory opened the library, and positioned herself behind the desk with the fan and a book.

[Apologies on the late posting. Am battling the flu - if responses are slow, it's because I fell asleep.]

"...no." She'd probably kick him. "No, it's a hut of platonic love. Kinda like a sweat house." He picks up a handful of the scattered Frosted Flakes and says, "Completed with food! Want some?"

"They were on the floor," Rory pointed out.

"The floor's clean," John says, patting the floor kindly. "Wanna come inside the Platonic Not a Fort Hut of Love?"

Rory bit her lip. "Why do you have cereal and pillows?"

"Hut of love basics," John explains. "Food and comfort. I even have a flag!"

"And boxers?" Rory was back to staring.

"That's my trademark!" John toasts the boxers. "All hail the power of the boxer shorts!"

"...why in the library?"

Because she kind of had to know.

"Because...it was calling to me!" John grins and offers her some Frosted Flakes again.

Rory sighed and climbed into the not-a-fort and took some Frosted Flakes. "You're just lucky we don't have a librarian anymore."

"Welcome to the hut of love!" John proclaims in a deep baritone voice. "Would you like the grand tour?"

"Sure," Rory said dryly.

"....here it is!" John proclaims grandly.

"Wow. Impressive," Rory deadpanned. "Planning on living here forever?"

"Yes," he says very seriously.

"...why?" she asked

"Because I'm in love with you and can't stand being apart," he deadpans.

"Yeah, well you'd better be in love with Angela, too, since she'll be opening on Thursday," she pointed out.

"I have enough love in my heart to go around," John tells her. "Can I be John Gilmore for today?"

"I'd really rather not die," she said casually.

"Aeryn's a teddy bear," John says, munching on some Cheerios.

"A teddy bear who would kill me," she said, nodding. "Maybe she'd lick me to death like the people she told me about last night."

Okay, John's willing to take this chance.

"That might be hot."

Rory facepalmed. "No, I was kidding. Also, I'd die in that scenario, which is not hot."

"The licking would be," John says.
