FH Library, 7/13

Angela was still thrilled to be back at school -- including back at work. She did a quick tour of the library, humming a little, pleased to be certain that nothing had been blown up. Then she went to organize the magazines, picked out the most recent Vanity Fair, and settled behind the desk.

It was a little odd not to have even a nominal boss, but Angela figured she could deal.

"Pangolin," Angela agreed. "And I get why you wanted out of there, eek. Are you doing okay in general?"

"How's life in Pot-Bellied Pig?"

"Quiet," Cally said. "Erm, the cabin life, I mean. Me doing okay in general... well, I'm getting better. You do some pretty stupid stuff coming off a long relationship, believe me."

Angela tucked some hair behind her ear. "Nadia might have said something, yeah," she said.

Cally nodded again. "Yeah, well... she'd know," she said. "Erm, aaaaaanyways. Umm... got any recommendation for books? I got a lot of time on my hands, now."

Angela leaned forward on her forearms, happy to let the whole subject drop. "Depends. What do you like to read?"

Cally thought for a second. "Mostly fiction, you know? I used to read all the trashy novels my friend Socinus would give me, and my taste hasn't really improved much."

"You might like Marian Keyes," Angela advised."It's kind of chick lit, but not completely stupid. And most of her characters are Irish or English, so you can pretend you're learning about another culture."

"Pretend learning sounds good to me," Cally said. "Thanks, Angela."

"No problem," Angela said. "They're with the other K's in the fiction section over there. Let me know if you need more help."
