As the students file in they'll see that the Danger shop appears to look like a normal classroom. Suddenly from the back of the room a sharp piercing whistle is heard as Dr. Cox marches into the room with a stuffed dug under his arm.

"SEATS! NOW!" He bellows and glares at everyone in the classroom until they are sitting at a desk.

"So you want to learn how to win friends and impress people. Do you realize how pa-ha-thetic you people are? I mean for the love of GOD people! Do you realize what this leads to? It leads you to becoming something like THIS!"

Cox flips a switch and in the Danger Shop a hologram appears of a middle aged man wearing a lab coat with red horns and a pointed tail. The hologram appears to be limited because it only says: "Who has two thumbs and doesn't give a crap?"

Then hologram points at himself with its thumbs. "Bob Kelso. That'd be me."

The hologram continues to repeat itself throughout class.

"This! This is what you'll become! DO YOU NOT SEE THE DANGER!! MY GOD NEWBIES! THE HORROR!! THE HORROR!!" Dr. Cox ranted.

He then took a deep breath and glared at the students sitting at their desks. "Let's get one thing straight people. Friends? Who needs them. Impressing people? Bah! What I am about to show you are the tools of the enemy. You will learn them. You will learn to fight them. I will give you the tools to fight them.

Cox points to seven random people an then points to Rowdy's mouth. "I want each of you to write down something that you want including your name. Put it Old Yeller's mouth here and the person who gets the object of your desire? You will try to schmooze it from them. The rest of you? You will fight to the fiber of your being to keep it from them. Then you will flip sides and the schmoozer will become the schmoozee."

Tim didn't know if Peter would play along or not, but Tim mentally made a note to get documentation for the real Princeton interview. He mimed handing Peter some papers. "I have here a copy of the lease agreement for the center, testimonials from several of those that I've helped including Mr. Izanagi the Flatbush High Guidance Counselor and Ms. Fine, the french teacher, just to name a few."

Peter took the pretend-documentation and 'leafed' through it. "Interesting, interesting. You certainly have done of good job of convincing people to speak for you." He looked back up at Tim. "So what exactly would you do with a Princeon education? Why should we educate you and not the girl who's coming by in ten minutes?"

Wow this was great! Practice interview! "Well sir I plan a double major in partying Mythological Studies, and drinking Social Work. It's my hope that what I'll learn here at Princeton will help me to continue the work I've already started."

plus I've talked to the girl who's coming by in ten minutes. she seduced your wife and said that you're a pathetic loser wannabe who'll let her in just 'cause she's pretty.

"Mythological Studies is going to help you help people how exactly?" Peter said with a raised eyebrow.

Oh yeah. Oops. Think fast. "Sir it's my belief that the mythology and folklore of a culture can give one an insight into that culture. It's through these familiar stories that I think I'll be better able to reach out to people of different backgrounds and help them to understand each other."

Peter nodded. "Excellent answer, Mr. Desmond. I'd be pleased to welcome you to Princeton next fall."

"Thank you very much sir." Tim grinned. "Peter that was great!"

Peter grinned back. "Thanks. I have younger siblings. I'm good at saying no."

Tim laughed. "Between a Bannik, a Mongol Warlord Ghost, and a Banshee I sometimes feel like I do." tim said. "But seriously, that was great I've now had a practice interview at princeton. So, what is it you wanted?"

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"A tent," Peter replied with a grin. "I couldn't think of anything both big and practical."

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey my original thing was gonna be oreos, then other people started going with big stuff."

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Oreos?" Peter asked. "The biscuits? I'd've given them to you."

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Tim grinned. "And now I've got a craving."

"I'll give you biscuits after class if you give me a tent," Peter said with a grin.

"Hmmm," tim said thoughtfully. "What kind?"

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oreos, of course," Peter replied.

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"I see," tim said, still looking thoughtfull. "And what kind of tent did you want?"

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Basic canvas tent," Peter said with a shrug. "Nothing too ornate. I don't need a marquis or anything."

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Um hm, um hm," Tim nodded. "And you need this for...?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Camping..." Peter said as is this was self-evident.

"Uh huh, and you need it by..."

"Tonight. I see, and how many cookies were you planning on paying for this with?"

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-12 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"How many would you consider fair?" Peter replied.

Re: Group Three: Timothy Desmond - Peter Pevensie

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-07-13 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
If Tim was doing an impression of Blackadder, it was completely unintentional. Honest.

"Well Tents these days aren't cheap I'm afraid. The ones with no amenities whatsoever are so rare as to be just as expensive as those with all the bells and whistles. There fore..." tim quoted a price in oreos that was absolutely ridiculous.
