Baking Workshop 7/10, Monday Morning
Piper smiles at the students as they arrive. She kind of already fears for the home ec classroom. "Good morning everyone. I'm Piper, in case some of you don't already know that."
She points out a plate of brownies on the counter. "I usually make samples of the assignments I choose. Today is no exception. As you can see, you're going to bake brownies today."
She hands them each a list of ingredients and instructions. "I try to make the instructions as easy to follow as possible, but, if you ever have questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to ask."

She poured the batter into the pan, then leaned against the counter. "We went to Tahiti, then home to see my family in Pittsburgh, then L.A. to visit soome people who just graduated. Then Paris. And now we're back here."

She sighed. "Yeah, exactly. I'm kind of looking at colleges closer to my parents, but that's going to be weird."
Re: Bake
Greg frowned thoughtfully. "I'll probably end up going back to California for school, just because I do miss it a little. But I have a year to think about it."
Re: Bake
She put her own pan of batter in the oven. "See, I need to start sending in applications in a couple months. Pennsylvania's not as far as California, but then there's the whole weird 'being from 1996' thing."

She shrugged. "I'm just glad I'm not too displaced in time, you know? It really sucks for the people who had never encountered electricity before they came here."

and boys. I think it took me about three weeks to realize I was ten years off -- I just thought everyone had the fanciest electronics ever. But I'm not that displaced, you know? It's probably different for the WWII people.""So you're from now?"

Ready for a change in topic, she danced over to the oven and opened the door. "Huh. They look done."
