When the students were all in the Danger Shop ~~which they had totally handwavily been told was the location for the day, okay?~~, Becky smiled.

"Hi. Last workshop. What we're doing here today is putting everything you've learned to good use."

She pressed a button on the remote, and the Danger Shop transformed into a poorly-lit, crowded bar. Onstage, a pretty blonde girl no older than eighteen was dancing and swinging a lasso.

And yes - it was all in black and white, as were the students themselves, save for a few splashes of color here and there.

"Your assignment, boys and girls, is to pick someone up. Find a seat at the bar or a table, and within minutes, someone'll come along. You're to make small talk with them, and then get the person in question to want to have sex with you. Make sure to specify what you're into, and that you use protection. People in Kadie's usually like to know these things. You have until the end of class today to accomplish this goal. People who make it into compromising positions get cookies."

She held up three fingers. "Few rules before I turn you loose. One - if you get far enough to where the virtual person wants to have sex with you, your portion of the Danger Shop will dim immediately, and your virtual person will disappear. No getting me in trouble. Two - order what you want from Shellie, but if you act drunk, you're getting detention. And three - things in Kadie's can get kinda rough. Be nice to the other patrons, and they'll be nice to you. And if they aren't, I'll take care of it. Oh, and if you have a significant other to worry about, don't fret, guys. They're virtual people, and you don't even have to touch most of 'em to let 'em know what you want. It's all about the talking, baby."

She smiled. "Have fun, kiddies."

"Hi," said a genial voice to her left. Said voice came from a tall, thin and very good-looking young gentleman with a wry smile and his hands in his pockets. "Don't think I've seen you around Kadie's before."

"I haven't seen you around Kadie's before either." she said looking up at him and smiling. "That would probably be because I've never been around Kadie's before."

"New in town?" he asked, raising a brow and keeping his voice low. "It can be a little rough for a pretty girl like yourself."

"Ya." she nodded. "I've only just arrived."

She tilted her head at him as she sipped her drink through the tiny black straw.

"Rough you say? How so?"

"Awful lot of guys just looking for the wrong thing, y'know?" he said, shaking his head sadly. "But don't worry. I'll keep an eye on you."

"You will?" she asked brightening. "That's sweet. I'd like that I think. But how do you know that you're looking for the right thing may I ask?"

"I've seen what the men of this town do when faced with beauty, and I decided a long time ago that I'd much rather appreciate it than denigrate it," he told her, looking down at her with solemn eyes.

He seemed like a nice guy, it was kind of sad that he wasn't real. She looked back at him with a touch of sadness in her own eyes.

"How does one properly appreciate beauty in this place?" she asked.

"Oh, a variety of ways."

He reached for her hand, and brought it to his lips to press a gentle kiss to it. "If you're not too busy, I could certainly show you a few of them."

Oh all he needed to do now was say 'Charmed. Charmed by my honor.' and he would be a very fine gentleman indeed.

"I could probably work you into my schedule."

"A girl like you must be busy," he noted. "I feel fortunate. Are you occupied at the moment?" He offered a wry grin. "Feel free to refuse, and I'll be on my way."

"The only thing I'm occupied with at this moment," she smiled back, "is you."

He smiled slowly. "Wonderful. Are you comfortable here, or would you like to see more of the city?" He raised a brow. "My apartment isn't far from here."

"Is there time and space to have a dance before we go?" she asked.

"Looks like there's space," he said, gesturing to the approximate two foot by two foot space on the floor. "And there's always the time if you have the inclination."

He offered her a hand. "Care to dance, then?"

Pippi put her glass down and took his hand.

"Of course." she said as she slips off the stool she was sitting on and takes his hand. "I was always told that you should dance with a man to make sure he's worth dancing with... Which didn't make sense to me at the time."

"That makes sense," he replied, carefully placing his hand on the small of her back. "Dancing's a skill not many take the time to hone. It requires...patience, grace, a sense of a woman's body...."

His hand drifted just south of the small of her back as he said that before skimming back up to where it had been.

Nobody had bothered to try anything like that since that unmentionable weekend and Pippi wasn't sure how she felt about it. But this was a totally different situation and she decided to roll with it. He was so nice, and handsome, and, poor fellow, would stop existing when the class was over. She moved to be a bit closer to him as they danced.

"And rhythm." she added, "Confidence, and the ability to think on one's feet."

"Absolutely." He smiled down at her. "You sound like you're not a stranger to the admirations of men. And the fine art of dancing, of course."

"I'm afraid I know more about dancing." she laughed. "I'm afraid I did not come in here prepared to meet such a charming gentleman as yourself."

He gave her a crooked smile, and bent his head close to her ear. "The song's wrapping up - care to get out of here?"

She smiled. "Yes, I think it would be nice to get out into the fresh air."

"And possibly to other places indoors?" he suggested slyly, heading for the door.

"That could be nice too." she said.

"Anything in particular you'd be interested in getting up to while we're in those indoor places?"
