When the students were all in the Danger Shop ~~which they had totally handwavily been told was the location for the day, okay?~~, Becky smiled.

"Hi. Last workshop. What we're doing here today is putting everything you've learned to good use."

She pressed a button on the remote, and the Danger Shop transformed into a poorly-lit, crowded bar. Onstage, a pretty blonde girl no older than eighteen was dancing and swinging a lasso.

And yes - it was all in black and white, as were the students themselves, save for a few splashes of color here and there.

"Your assignment, boys and girls, is to pick someone up. Find a seat at the bar or a table, and within minutes, someone'll come along. You're to make small talk with them, and then get the person in question to want to have sex with you. Make sure to specify what you're into, and that you use protection. People in Kadie's usually like to know these things. You have until the end of class today to accomplish this goal. People who make it into compromising positions get cookies."

She held up three fingers. "Few rules before I turn you loose. One - if you get far enough to where the virtual person wants to have sex with you, your portion of the Danger Shop will dim immediately, and your virtual person will disappear. No getting me in trouble. Two - order what you want from Shellie, but if you act drunk, you're getting detention. And three - things in Kadie's can get kinda rough. Be nice to the other patrons, and they'll be nice to you. And if they aren't, I'll take care of it. Oh, and if you have a significant other to worry about, don't fret, guys. They're virtual people, and you don't even have to touch most of 'em to let 'em know what you want. It's all about the talking, baby."

She smiled. "Have fun, kiddies."

A tall, monochromatic blonde in a skintight pair of pants and corset took a seat beside him.

"Hey, sailor," she murmured, looking him over.

"Hey," Tyler agreed.

He paused for a moment, then remembered he was supposed to try to pick her up. Hmm. He decided it wasn't cheating because she wasn't real.

"Can I buy you a drink?," he asked, trying to sound like he didn't care.

"Sure. Beer'd be fine," she replied, raising one neat brow. "Come here often? Haven't seen you here before - and I'm sure I'd notice you."

Tyler motioned to the bartender for a second beer, then shook his head.

He drew a deep breath. "I'm new in town. Is this a nice place?"

"The company's usually not bad," she purred. "Nice place to meet people. Call me Wendy."

"Tyler Durden," Tyler said. He let his hand rest on the bar almost close enough to touch Wendy's fingers. "I..." He licked his lips. "I sell soap."

"Do you meet a lot of dirty people, Mr. Durden?" Wendy asked softly, tracing her fingertip along his arm. "Or can I call you Tyler?"

Tyler's drink sloshed a little in his trembling hand. "Tyler's fine," he said.

"And not ... not as often as I used to," he continued, growing bold. "Fandom's pretty clean."

It was virtual. Totally not cheating, right? He gulped.

"Want a demonstration of my products?"

"I'd love that," she murmured. "Maybe somewhere a little more secluded? There's an alley in back, if you'd like to show me there. Or, well, my place isn't far."

"Your place might be nice," Tyler said, leaning close to her ear and checking to make sure no one was watching. But he was letting himself enjoy this. Mostly. "You have a shower? I could help you test out a few things."

Wendy smirked at him, and kept her voice low. "Could you? And I don't suppose you'd want to limit it to just the shower, would you? Anything special I should know about your...sales pitch? I have some equipment of my own that could be put to use in this endeavor, I think."

Tyler dropped his hand to Wendy's thigh, and his breah felt hot even in his own mouth. "We use the finest all-natural ingredients. Our products are hand-made with love," he said.
"And I've never had any complaints."

He leaned in even closer. "Of course, the soaps work well with anything else you might use in your beauty routine. Not that a girl like you probably needs much."

Wendy grinned. "Then come along, Tyler Durden," she said softly, sliding off her barstool and taking him by the hand. "I suddenly feel awfully dirty and in need of some special care."

Tyler gripped Wendy's hand. "I'm sure we can do something about that," he said, and followed wherever she might lead.
